We were put up overnight at this hotel when our late-afternoon US Airways flight got cancelled. This is not a luxury hotel--you won't find fancy bedlinens/beds, thick carpets and really fluffy towels. Rooms are spare with plain tile floors and low beds, but the rooms are large and clean, the bathrooms are well-appointed with soap/shampoo, though towels are a bit... More

Our flight got cancelled so USAir put us up there for a night. Not fancy, but not bad either. Decent food, nice spot, spartan rooms. More

Our flight back to the U.S. was cxl'd, so Jet Blue put us up at The Mercure on the French side of St Martin. We were given a room, dinner and breakfast. After less than 1 day, I can say I would never recommend this place to anyone I know. The room had 2 twin beds that were about 18"... More

I read the bad reviews about this hotel and decided to give them a chance anyway. BIG MISTAKE! This is a 1-star hotel/motel, NOT a 3 1/2 star hotel. The beds are like cardboard, the breakfast buffet area is unhygienic, the glasses are stained & dirty, the towels are discolored, you have to walk to another building to use the... More

The bartender is what makes this hotel great! The bar and restaurant are excellent. The pool is very nice. The breakfast is awesome - probably the best free breakfast i've ever had. The view of the bay is spectacular. Everything else is just average - the room needs a renovation, the t.v has no english channels, the front desk staff... More

Just had a very nice 2 weeks holiday here. It is French with many french guests. Of course it is on the (best) French side. People here smoke at the table! Very pleasent. Lots of activity at the excellent breakfast and then everyone seems to disappear for the day and then the evening is busy and the restaurant full. Do... More

Stayed here for 1 week in Feb 2009 on an Ottawa (all nice Canadians) all inclusive package. We are Europeans. We do not drink so cant comment on drink policy. WE HAD A GREAT TIME.This is absolutely not a large all inclusive type resort (like in Cuba/DR) so do not ever come here for that. A nice small beach but... More

Avoid this horrible, poorly maintained, dirtbag, bug ridden unsafe dive of a hotel! We found bare bulbs hanging, pools of standing water, broken locks, bugs, filthy curtains, arrogant staff, no beach access, rotten fruit with flies at breakfast quite unendurable - in the end after the drunk maintenance man crow-barred the bathroom door open after the shower exploded and after... very old hotel that needs refurbishment. The smell in the room was awful, lights weren't working, TV had only 3 channels and bad reception. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff is arrogant. Only good thing about the hotel is its location and view from the beach. Will never ever go back, even if you paid me. More
