The Reef Resort is on the quiet side of the island, far from 7 mile beach and George Town. You WILL need to rent a vehicle. The fact that all rooms are oceanfront is a huge plus, and the beach is very quiet. The rooms are very nice. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but comparable to a Courtyard Marriott or Hilton... More

We had a pleasant stay at the Reef Resort on Grand Cayman: professional and cheerful staff at front desk, conceirge, and restaurant / bar. The beach was ideal: soft sand, clear water and easy access to decent snorkeling. Food was quite good but not inexpensive. Only negative comment is that their "studio suite" is really a very small room with a... More

After doing extensive research, The Reef Resort was exactly what we expected & desired. Far Eastern end of the Island, private with just the right amount of amenities. Two beautiful pools, one with a permanent volleyball net set-up. Jacuzzi, daily activities, nightly entertainment (low key), a convenient Subway (tiny) outside the lobby. You can purchase time on their PC's (which... More

We stayed here for a week in April 2013. We have stayed at quite a few other resorts as well; this is by far our favorite-we have been here 3 times before. It is not crowded (which means there are plenty of lounge chairs on the beach). The food is very good The drinks are not watered down. The entire... More

Wonderful resort...all the reviews I read said this resort was great and I would say" Book here! Best meal on the island was "steak night at the reef." Seven mile beach is beautiful but much more crowded and busy...this place was serene....

Found heaven on earth at The Reef. The most tranquil, serene, secluded, peaceful resort ever. Working full time raising six kids in New York after a week at The Reef w my daughter I was completely refreshed, invigorated, revitalized and destressed. The beachfront suites were amazing and the view was spectacular. The snorkeling was outstanding. The rooms were immaculate and... More

We stayed in a condo on the ground level and it was fantastic! The beach was clean and it was very peaceful. The pool was nice as well. Loved the restaurant on the beach!!!! It is worth it to rent a car so you can explore the island.

We've just returned from staying six nights at The Reef and can only say ... wow. From the moment we arrived and checked in, we were impressed. Our room overlooked the ocean, and was very clean and spacious. This was our first visit to the East end of the island, so we were unsure of what to expect as far... More

This was our second year in a row at the Reef and we loved it just as much as last year. The staff is extremely accommodating and attentive from the minute you check-in to check-out. The concierge is readily available to assist with planning any adventures you may want to take during your stay. Most importantly the resort is beautiful.... More

This place is more a time share than an resort. We totally enjoyed the quiet location. There is a couple of restaurants at The Reef and at the resort next door and a Italian restaurant across the street. There is also a subway right at The Reef that was convenient for picnics. There is also a grocery store, a liquor store and... More
