Official Description (provided by the hotel):: We love this area and decided to build our villa starting in 2001 after living, working and getting married on the island. The charms and draws of this area are peace and harmony. Taking in the natural beauty and making it part of our theme to bring the outside, inside. We decided on large rooms with our small cubicles. All openess! We made the master suite large enough to handle a small office and the two junior(by no means really small)suites were made for our two kids in colors they chose. We wanted to share this wonderful place and offered it for short term rental. We added a full size ,deep pool in 2006 with views of the ocean, flora and beach. There are other villas on our bay area and lots of water sports can be enjoyed in this area, even though, at times of the year the tide goes out and it can be very shallow. You can always, go to the cays by walking or kayaks and enjoy the snorkeling. We have seen turtles, rays, schools of young nursery fish,but have also, seen a nurse shark give delivery to it's young in that very bay!We are located in the neighborhood of Turtle Tail. Everything has to be brought onto an island and some things are not readily available, but they can be shipped down. The duty of 36% and shipping ,plus delivery to the villa is challenging, but we did it!! Very close to restaurants, markets and marinas. surrounded by the original flora and fauna so rare to find these days. Private beach on one side and Flamingo Lake ,complete with flamingos and other great birds, on the other side. Spectacular sunsets and incredibel star watching.This is truly a great area to relax and snorkle, kayak or fish (fantastic bonefishing)!! The Villa was everything we had hoped for and more! The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were all set up when we got there. “Dream vacation with all the amenities.”

I've stayed at many Villas but Villa Tropidero was by far one of the best. The view is breathe taking and The owner and the property mgr went above and beyond from booking it, stocking the fridge to meeting us at the airport. The view and the beach were amazing. It was the most relaxing vacation ever. Highly recommend it. We snorkeled in the cleares waters and swam out to small islands right off the beah that were filled with wildlife. Fantasy come true

We take every guest's review very seriously and are sorry that this experience was not in keeping with the way the villa is usually maintained. We want to thank this guest for enightening us as to the condition the villa was in when they visited and are very sorry about their experience. We spent four weeks in Jan. 2012, addressing all issues brought forward and have replaced the staff . Many upgrades and repairs were made. The booking company has made an offer to these... More
