Let me clarify why we stayed here, we had spent our time in a great villa in St. John and didn't want the hassle of trying to catch an early flight out of St. Thomas, because you need a ferry to get there, so instead we stayed in Mafolie Hotel which is on a hill above the main city there... More

Cannot speak to the experience of staying here but can speak to the pleasure of dining here. The dining room is tweedy elegant with an utterly magnificent view of the town and harbor below. The Mafolie hotel overlooks Long Bay -- where cruise ships dock. Though the hotel is an older hotel, it is clean and comfortable. Staff were great. The location has a sweeping view of Charlotte Amalie, and the grounds are kept very clean.
