The hotel is very beautiful and well kept. Rooms are large and there are rooms with kitchenette (taxi ride to Walmart is about 11 dollars round trip where you can get anything you wish for cooking). There are 3 hotel in the complex with shuttle between them. The pool is to die for (I would say it is almost 3/4... More

My boyfriend and I went to Acapulco for an anniversary vacation and stayed at the Grand Mayan 5/18 to 5/25/2013. We were thoroughly impressed from beginning to end and really enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous area of Mexico. It's obvious how beautiful the resort is from the minute you walk in and every staff member is extremely helpful and... More

My sister, I and one of my daughters went to Alcapulco over Spring break. We had a great time. We arranged to be picked up at the airport by Roberto Alarcon, whom we found through Trip Advisor. He was the BEST! He greeted us with a big smile, was always so cheerful and a pleasure to be with and at... More

We Just visited this resort from 05/03/2013- 05/11/2013. Party of 4 and had such a wonderful trip to Acapulco, (a first for both of us). The grounds of the hotel are nicely maintained and beautifully landscaped. There are lots of nice touches, very clean and well staffed. Everyone on the staff was wonderful and all spoke English and the amenities... More

As newlyweds, we decided to look on this site first after the hotel was booked, for a tour guide since my spanish is sadly lacking. We found a Roberto Alarcon, His e-mail address is: robertoalrey@yahoo.com.mx. My wife email him and a few others, he responded quickly and we booked him. Roberto has a wonderful knowledge of the city and the... More

We had a driver, Roberto Alarcon, who was excellent. He was accommodating, gracious, very affordable, and very knowledgeable of restaurants and tours to which to go which were local and not so touristy. Of course, he knew much about the touristy restaurants and areas, too. I would highly recommend him. His e-mail address is: robertoalrey@yahoo.com.mx. The Grand Mayan was superb.... More

Our family recently completed our first trip to Acapulco and the Grand Mayan and we were very pleased with the accommodations and thrilled with the weather... 88-90 degrees each day with no rain. My wife and I took our son (16) and daughter (18) and two girlfriends (both 18). There weren't a lot of teenagers at the resort while we... More

We had no expectations going tom Acapulco. My family of four- 13 and 11 year old boys- all needed a rest. We had a few very stressful years. We were told of all the dangers of Acapulco- and found none!! We noticed that no one displayed wealth or labels- probably to avoid trouble. The Grand Mayan exceeded expectations. The room,... More

This is the first time we have stayed at a Mayan Palace. In the past, we have always stayed at The Grand Mayan. I will admit, I was worried it would not be as nice. I was wrong. Our hotel was beautiful, the pool was great, and the service was excellent. The only negative was that sometimes we could smell... More
