I've travelled to Mazatlan for the past 3 years. The past 2 times I have stayed at the Azteca Inn (combined as a flight/hotel package with WestJet) and would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to others. While it is your basic no-frills hotel (no fitness center or spa - hence the 3 star, but I wasn't looking for that sort of... More

Comfortable place close to the Malecon and amenities. Martin Carrillo at Reception was friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels in the area and also much quieter. I would go back!

My wife and I have stayed at the Azteca at least twice a year for the past several years. We travel throughout Mexico and this hotel is always our home in Mazatlan. The staff is terrific and all have been there for many years. A typical Mexican hotel but always clean and secure. On site parking is a huge plus... More

On the other side of the road from all the expensive beach hotels and very nice. Mid-century feel without being too outdated. Loved their little bar. Felt like I could have been Marilyn Monroe sweeping in and having a drink. And inexpensive. Greatly e. great price.

I went here for a weekend trip a few years ago. Unfortunately, the most significant memory I will take away is the uncomfortable, hard mattresses - it took my neck and back many months to recover. The service was great and the people were friendly, there were many good restaurant options around, as well as ATMs and transit options, and... More

Azteca Inn is a low budget option but in a great location. The beach is across the street through a different hotel (if you do not use their lounge furniture they do not mind you to just pass through) The ocean had wave action most of the time, but only once it was scary to go deeper than waist high.... This is a simple cheap motel type inn. It is located close to the beach and in walking distance of most of the gold zone of Mazatlan. It was clean and just adequate. I wouldn't go back, there are too many other choices.

We stayed in April 2011. It was a place to sleep. No access to the beach except thru the hotel across the street. They say you can use the chairs at that hotel but they kicked us off and we had to rent a beach umberella for 9 dollars a day. The front desk staff were very friendly and the... More

If you want an affordable stay in a well kept hotel one block from the beach in the Golden Zone, this is the pick for you. The beds were a tad firm, but the rooms were always cleaned very well. TV's are a little small, and there is no fridge or microwave. We stayed for eleven days and enjoyed the... More

Stayed 3 nights at this small but comfortable hotel in the Golden Zone. Clean, comfortable, very reasonable price. Right in the heart of the Golden Zone so you can walk to all sorts of small shops and places to eat. This is not a 5 star hotel, but you can't beat it for being convenient and clean. Will certainly stay... More
