To Whom it may concern, I have stayed with my wife at the Hacienda to attend a wedding of our friends that took place there as well. The Hacienda is great, the set up and athmosphere is fantastic. However our blackberry was stolen from our room and two friends of ours reported thefts of handbag and wallet as well. Please... More

I've never stayed in a room here but have been dining at the restaurant for 30 years. The atmosphere and ambiance are wonderful, a beautiful setting. Food quality has been steadily improving over the years, very good Mexican continental style. One of my favorite restaurants in Cuernavaca. More

My husband and I went to this hotel to spend our 1st Anniversary and had the worst experience, and it all started at the check in , which we had to wate for 45 minutes to get our room, then 40 minutes for someone to open the service bar and when it was already opened 20 minutes to be refilled... We always wanted to stay at this property when visiting Cuernavaca but in past years chose less expensive places when traveling with the children. This year we decided to treat ourselves and were delighted with our stay. The the room was beautiful, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the verdant grounds so lovely and relaxing. We ate twice at... More

We stayed at the Hacienda for two nights in February. We booked an "Orbitz Room." Which I have come to recognize as the cheapest room in the house, but in many cases, the only room I can afford in many destinations! We had a hard time finding the property after a long day driving around the countryside from Mexico City,... More

The rooms were well-appointed. The decorating was simple but expressive of the history of the hotel. The grounds were outstanding, and the food was a pleasure. The Sunday buffet was delightful. We found the hotel staff to be pleasant and cooperative. They were always helpful. We hated to leave the hacienda. Being at the hacienda brought us into times past.... More

15 minutes outside cuernavaca is one of the jewels of travelin.g. this gorgeous hotel occupies the former plantation of the conquitador cortez. much of the old sugar mill has been preserved and the additions are done in exquisite taste. suites 19 and 20 are our favorites but should one need ego food could opt for the shahs suite, where the... I decided to stay at the Hacienda de Cortes after reviewing several comments about romantic hotels in Mexico at Trip Advisor (thank you!). I must say I am really pleased with the result. Legend has it that conquistador himself, Hernan Cortes, ordered this exquisitely romantic hacienda to be built for his beloved indian interpreter and lover, Malinche. The hotel entrance,... More

I most say this is one of the most "bellas" haciendas I have seen in the new continent. The grounds and gardens are full of tropical flowering plants. Some of the salones hold pieces of colonial furniture and artifacts that remaineded me an old "Castelo Siciliano". The vaulted ceilings and thick stone arches of the restaurant/bar area are reminiscent of... More

The place is wonderful. Visting the Ex-Hacienda de Cortes is a romantic experience. In my opinion this former House of the Spanish conqueror Hernan Cortes is one of the most authentic of the Mexican haciendas. The place is located in Cuernavaca "the enclosure of eternal spring" that makes it more special. Highly recommended by a well travelled Finnish person. Anna... More
