That fact that when you check-in they give you a pair of earplugs pretty much says it all. Whatever you do, don't get a room on the first floor - If you do, there is no way you can sleep without excessive alcohol or sleeping pills. After a sleepless first night, I begged them to move me to the second... More

Staff were friendly, good location and easy to find. But I would not recommend. Our room was tiny (for four people) there was no elevator, so we had to drag our luggage up two flights of stairs to get to our room. Then we didn't get any sleep cause there was a light shining into our room and we could... More

Staff were friendly, but nothing to really rave about. Many gap year types here, and the first floor gets a little loud at night (they gave us earbuds, which was nice), but its all good to mingle I suppose. We got a private room but could still hear the people chatting in the next dorm type room. No wi-fi in... More

pros: the room was very big, clean and nicely decorated. the staff was friendly. the location is excellent. cons: lots of early 20s partying in the hostel, no drinking water (have to buy it), noisy, unclean bathrooms. we changed to a different hotel and it was a 1000 times better for a fraction more pesos. Hostel Amigo was brilliant for us. We arrived in Mexico City with absolutely no idea of where to stay or what to do other than a determination to go to see Frida Kahlo’s home and studio. Being and artist myself I have for years been totally fascinated by Frida’s life story and paintings. I love her courage!! We stumbled upon... More

The location is great, easy to access the metro and walking distance to the consititution plaza, independence palace, etc. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Especially the day tour, most of the them are free(only tips for the guide). They have a free wifi, but only accessible on the 1st and 2nd floor. Free airport pick up if you stay... More

I and my two friends stayed at the Hostel Amigo for quick two day trip to Mexico City. The location was incredible. Having such a short amount of time, it was imperative that we be near as many attractions as possible. Being a short walk from multiple markets, the Bellas Artes Museum, the Palacio Nacional, some famous cathedrals and many... More

Yes, its a beautiful, large, clean and centrally located Hostel in Mexico City. Frequent parties that the hostel host to sell its drinks led to chaos of teenagers running wild across the hostel, running , jumping, screaming, slamming doors and going to bed at 5am. The hostel lacks control of this college like crowd. All night to monring doors are... More

I got here at 6am and they quickly allowed me to find a bed and get some sleep. Unheard of at most places that make you stay in the lobby till noon to finally check in. After a long flight, this is what makes or breaks the start of a good stay. The Wifi is much faster than most hostels,... More
