Service at the hotel is great. We arrived way before the 3pm checkin time with several large bags. They gave us a room right away. Bad news is, it faces one of the busiest streets in town, there is no A/C (it was hot), and the street traffic noise made it difficult to leave the doors open. We left the... More

The customer service is excellent. The buffet as breakfast is ok but I think it could be better. The rooms are ok, clean but they mostly not have windows so it is very dark inside. I didn´t like that they don´t have air conditioner in the rooms just ventilators and in summer is not nice. They don´t have king size... More

While freshly renovated, this place is NOISY. If sleep matters to you, stay away. The better rooms all face an open courtyard restaurant. Metal furniture over stone floors starts rattling at 630 am. The place is filled with students on tours who are being themselves, IE noisy until 3 am. More

We stayed 3 nights there, mainly for proximity to our friends house, but found the hotel not satisfactory, cleaning used allergenic product which triggered my wife-s allergies and when we checked out the desk did not have organized listl of charges, did not list our deposit correctly and ended up charging us for extra das which it took 2 weeks... The room was absolutely nothing compared to the pictures shown on the Internet. It was dirty, old, extremely noisy, sub-par decorated. When we asked for hand towels, the hotel desk said the didn't manage any, nor any bath rugs. The bathroom sink cluttered at the first use, I even had help come inside the room to leave toilet paper while... More

This was the first hotel our taxidriver took us to when we arrived in Oaxaca early in the morning. We payed about 600 pesos for one night there, and it included breakfast. We would normally not have taken a hotel in that price range but we were exhausted from the trip and wanted to sleep. The service was great, location... More

I didn't like this hotel, mainly due to the dimly lit rooms which were also quite hot. This meant you had to open the bedroom window where the traffic noise was unbearable - even with earplugs! Our room didn't even have a room number and seemed to be a temporary as the place was being renovated. Considering the money paid... More

Upon arriving to the hotel everything was great. We had the corner room overlooking the streets. It was a bit noisy but being from Seattle it didn't bother us. The hotel is within in walking distance of everything. We didn't have any problems with bugs and there was plenty of hot water. The staff was friendly enough and the hotel... More

I have stayed in the Hotel Francia 2 times already and I will be returning again in Oct. 2007 for Dia de Los Muertos for 8 days. This little hotel is the most centrally located and the most reasonably priced. I have been in the old hotel and back after renovations. I find the hotel quaint and the new renovations... More
