The first room we were assigned was damp and moldy. The second room was worse. Black Mold was everywhere. The walls wooden doors, I won't attempt to describe the bathroom. I did notice that the rooms off the lobby area had undergone a renovation but they appeared to be empty. We booked on expedia and maybe this is the room... More

Traveling on a budget can be daunting but we found the Hotel Jardines del Centro to be clean, comfortable and conveniently located in San Cristobal. The staff is helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily, and they provide bottled water. No heat in winter so it's chilly but plenty of hot water. Free wifi available in the rooms. For an additional charge,... More

My family and I decided to go to San Cristobal on a long weekend at the very last minute. That meant all the hotels we tried first were fully booked. Through a travel agency we found availability in Jardines del Centro, which was a relief! Location is privileged: only one block away from the main square and a 15 minute... More

Hotel staff were nice but rooms reeked of dampness, not sure if this is to do with the climate as other with our group in different hotels had similar issue. BUT they took our reservation on credit card, charging for one day, then when we were there charged us for our full stay including this day again! And if you... More

HOTEL ADVERTISES AS FOUR STAR HOTEL BUT IS OFFICIALLY LISTED WITH TOURIST BUREAU AS A 3 STAR. -room infested with mosquitoes (probably caused by the damp climate and garden in the lobby). spent the first 30 min trying to kill the bugs. - there was no hot water to shower (bad since the climate was damp and cold) We reported... The hotel has a beautiful, well-tended tropical garden setting on the ground floor, with several open spacious sitting areas. Our reservation was in place when we arrived. Our room, although small, was clean, as was the bathroom. Hot water was good and hot. San Cristobal can get very cold at night, but there was no heating in the room, so... More

We stayed three nights in this hotel. If you dont like to be bothered by the street traffic, make sure to get a room inside the block. We didn't eat in the restaurant, it doesn't look much appealing and it's much better to try other places for eating. Parking is safe. There are several cauches and comfortable armchairs in the... I dont recommend this hotel: The room is small, the bathroom floods after taking a shower, the pillows are not comfortable , they have problems with water pressure and hot water and, finally, it is crowded and noisy. They offered me a price when I called them from US and once I came they charged me more. More

After a night at an expensive hotel nearby, we got ourselves over to the Jardines del Centro, one of 3 of this small, local chain. We had attempted to email a reservation but they don't answer their emails so you just drop in. It was the end of the season and they showed us a number of rooms and let... More
