Stayed at the Dos Playas in December 2010 not what we expected from the photos when we arrived at reception. Rooms very basic but were cleaned each day, even though the cleaners had a habit of going through your belongings and taking or moving things that were hidden from view? Peoples room safes were robbed and keys taken from there... More

Just back from 2 weeks staying at this hotel. We had originally booked on a room only basis (not a big fan of the all inclusive) but we ended up having to pay for the hotel breakfast because there's nowhere nearby that offers breakfast. The food was OK but I think I would have been disappointed if we had eaten... More

My husband and I stayed here the 2nd wk in December. Room was very spare but very clean. No clocks but I had read that here so we brought one along, had to re-set it every day as our room key controlled the electricity in the room. Even though we would leave 1 room key inserted in the slot, housekeeping... More

We stayed here the 1st 2 wks of nov 2010. a cheap all inc package. In Cancun, you can spend what we paid for 2wks for a night, if you are looking for luxury. The staff were friendly, helpful and tried to look after you.The food was ok.It did have variety and the standard was decent.(This was my biggest worry after... More

I liked my stay in Dos Playas a lot. Nice hotel for 3stars, big choice of delicious food (but not drinks as usually with all inclusive), cool staff in a restaurant (miss them already). Beach is small but very close, night life-rather by bus or taxi but stll quite close(10minutes). Good point for seeing things like Chitchen Itza, Tulum, Coba... More

I stayed at Dos Playas with my boyfriend for two weeks at the end of November. The hotel was CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was great. The only bad food we had was on Arabic Night. We eat a lot of middle eastern food-skip it. Other than that, the food was delish. The... More

Concierge not very helpful, confusion, tiny room with very small closet and only 2 drawers, no microwave, fridge, clock, bathroom OK but only 2 bath towels, no hand or face towels, food mediocre, service poor. Pool full of sand, no spa. Beach tiny (15') full of rocks, seaweed & litter, and right in front of ferry boat dock-too dirty and... More

So, me and my boyfriend got a super good last minute all inclusive deal to this place, and pretty much spent on the whole package what some people would have spent on the flight alone so I dont think I can really complain about the quality of the hotel. To be honest, my first impression was that the place was... More

We found this resort to be above our expectations. Our biggest concern was the food we had read so much about, we found it to be very good with a good selection at every meal. The accomodations were very basic but very clean. The grounds were well kept and always being worked on. The staff were second to none, very friendly... More
