I stayed at the Mayafair for quite a while for business in Cancun. Overall, I wouldn't even give it "1" star because of all it flaws and shortcomings. I had to change rooms several times due to different reasons: a/a didn't work, internet didn't work, no hot water, no water at all, noise from the lobby etc. I could go... More

Wow :) first of all the design took my breath :) Indeed MAYA style, gorgeous, inviting and charming. “Perfect for business”

I was there for 4 days and it was perfect. I have to emphasize the beds and the shower. I sleep like a baby and the high flow shower was a pleasure. Big rooms, excellent service, perfect location, very good spa, good restaurant. I really enjoyed my stay. And Cancun was fun. More

We chose the Mayafair because it looked somewhat quirky and different and the price was reasonable. We had not visited Cancun before. This is a weird place. Feels a little like sleeping in the mall. There is even elevator music chiming all night long outside your room. I wonder if each room was once a store.
