We stayed in this hotel for only one night, but it was one of the best during our roundtrip in Mexico. The location was a dream; from our balcony we looked to one of the pyramids of Chichen Itza. The entrance and parking place of the hotel is a couple of hundred meters away from the reception, so there we... More

Amazing! If you plan to visit Chichen Itza, this is the place to do it from. I was somewhat skeptical befor our arrival because we got such an amazing rate on our room. I thought for sure there would be multiple things that would displease me, but I was wrong. Beautiful landscaping, georgous room, multiple restaurants and pools, and a... More

It is interesting that you would use the name "Disneyland" in the title of your review. My grandfather, Fernando Barbachano Peon, coined and used "Mayaland" well over a quarter of a century before Mr. Walt Disney opened his first theme park in California in 1955. At Mayaland, we are delighted that you had an experience that surpassed your expectations! Thank... More

I stayed at the Mayaland hotel at Chichen itza in Feb. this year with a my 3 youngest daughters (ages 10, 15, 17) for 4 nights. I had visited twice before but it was the first trip there for the girls. The hotel arranged a (costly but worth it if you can afford it) private transport for the nearly 3... More

This beautiful hotel surpassed all expectations! After driving through the flat scrub for 2+ hours, we arrived to be transported through a tropical paradise. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner under the stars, and enjoyed the spacious verandas off of each room. We were traveling with two teenage girls and my elderly parents---and finally, everyone was happy! We had a guide... More

Arriving at our bungalow amid the tropical huge trees and flowers was amazing. I've never seen such an amazing landscape as that. The grounds are landscaped with many beautiful pools built into the ground in a cave like fashion, to minic natural pools, like some of the cenotes we say....although we like these pools even better than most of the... It seems like it when you first get there and even when you wake up in the morning! This is truely a resort in the midst of the ancient city of Chichen Itza. It is like you enter another world. You park your car and they pick you up and take you into the lush gardens, passing quaint bungalos, palacial... More

Only stayed one night at Mayaland... wish we would have stayed longer! When we arrived, the man at the front desk had trouble finding our reservation.... I started to worry. The has said all was well, and upgraded us from a basic, double, room to a bungalow (I've read other reviews about the same happening, so maybe it's pretty common?).... More

Mayaland was a great surprise. It is a lush tropical paradise with rolling landscaped lawns, tall trees, flowers and birds everywhere. The main hotel is a Spanish style gem with open corridors, courtyards and patios. The dining room, bar, lobby and entry are decorated with georgeous art and indigenous materials. We stayed in one of the Mayan style bungalows surrounding... More

Room was average. Not the cleanest. Noisy. No hot water for morning shower, which was probably due to the high use at the time. Friendly, helpful service. Located right at Chichen Itza, allowing one to explore, and to view the sound & light show. Great gardens with abundant birdlife. More
