It's currently 3:40 am and I've woken up with loads of bites all over me. I've been to see the night man on the see if I could change beds and sheets and that was totally fine. I changed beds but same story. When I turned the light on and actually looked at the sheets I found big bed bugs... More

Hello fellow travelers - I have been staying at Hostelito every year since 2004. The hostel is centrally located a few blocks from the pier. It is clean, the rooms are spacious and airy, there is an enclosed outdoor deck with sitting area and hammocks, and the hostel staff can help to arrange car / scooter rentals, snorkeling / SCUBA... Wonderful place in Cozumel! Good location, friendly staff. One of the nicest common spaces we've had in any hostel, with clean kitchen, hammocks, chill-out spaces, etc. Our room (actually the junior suite) was enormous and well worth the $550 pesos - kitchenette, tv, a/c, balcony, many windows with good views. Nicer than most hotel rooms I've stayed in anywhere, particularly... More

Go stranded in Cozumel ( watch that last ferry to Playa, people! ) and needed a flop house. This was more than good for the money, heck I'd have just stayed here. Good for world traveler types, not that great if you're snooty or elderly or anything else. In fact the noise in the morning was pretty bad. Go to... More

Every staff member I met at Hostelito was very helpful- got me everything I needed, and if they didn't know the answer (what time the ruins opened), they found out and let me know the following morning. Howeverrrrrrr, it wasn't the cleanest place.. both of the drains in the kitchen sink were plugged up, and the bathroom showers were clogged... More

My stay at Hostelito was first rate. Helpful, clean and freindly. Not to mention affordable. The guy with the bugs, obviously imported them. I did not see so much as a house fly during my stay. The staff was well informed and spoke perfect english. I will be returning for 2 months this winter.

We booked for one week and had a very good stay at Hostelito. Susano, the receptionist, was very nice and helpful to us. The first days we had some problems with the fridge and the TV but we were offered another room where everything worked fine. The only inconvenience is that the WiFi net does not reach your room. You... More
