We have stayed at Posada Santiago twice, each time for two weeks, and have enjoyed ourselves immensely. Manuel is a wonderful host and was very helpful in steering us towards good restaurants, cultural events and out-of-town attractions. The posada was nicely decorated, but our room was claustrophobic (we were on the first floor): there was a huge wall behind one window and the air conditioning didn't work well. Moreover, the bathroom wasn't very clean. Finally,there was a big space between the door and the floor, which caused a lot of mosquitoes to enter in our room. More

I found Ron and Manuel to both be so friendly and helpful. Their place was wonderfully decorated and comfortable. Ron also knows a lot about Merida and shared a lot of info with us so that was really great. Highly recommended! More
