For some reason one can't avoid the enormous amounts of mosquitoes that abound this property ...rooms and courtyard too. Maybe they should remove the stagnant fountain waters but it clearly doesn't bother the owners. I had to buy bug spray just for my room and avoid all common areas. And yeah TV is lousy too. Doesn't work and good luck... More

Even though we live here on the beach we love staying overnight at either of the two hotels located in central Merida. They are both a little funky with the art collections amassed by the previous owner. Breakfast is continental. As with any place in Mexico you need to actually SEE your room and check it out before you register.... More

Great location, but so are many other hostels. We arrived very early in the morning by nightbus, and got a room straight away, with no extra expenses. Which was very nice. We had shared bathrooms and shower. The shower only had a curtain between, and was dirty. The toilets door was so short, you could actually look down on the... More

Aside from being a couple of streets from the center (which in Merida we found to be quite boring),and the fact that it offered tours to Celastun and chichan itza (Pardon my spelling), hotel Trinidad proved to be a bad place to stay. The bed was metal springs covered with linen (the floor would have been better for me) which... More

The word rustic was mentioned before we arrived at this hotel. Well, it could not be more wrong. This was an extremely worn down, dirty hotel with no facilities. Apart from one hotel in Zanzibar it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The hotel was reservations were sorted out by GAPadventures, who use this on their tours... More

We spend 3 night at this hotel, which is more of B & B and we loved it. Affortable 350 pesos per night for a room with priv. bathroom. Good location, very laid back and lots of great art work.

Hotel Trinidad is a nice and clean hotel to stay. We've stayed several days and booked some trips at the hotel, which were of good value.

On the plus side, this hotel is well situated near the action. The hotel lobby is beautiful and artsy. That's as far as my compliments go. Granted, it was only $35/night. But it frustrates me that they don't make a small investment in some decent sheets that actually fit the bed and some decent towels. The bed was a torture... More

Loved staying at the top of the staircase that faces the rear courtyard! Also had a view of the front courtyard... but our room downstairs was hot and the bed was very uncomfortable. We all loved this art hotel with her mosaic tiled bathrooms and personalized service. We stayed in 2 rooms for three nights and while we do recommend... More

If you want a fabulous deal with an eclectic artsy feel- this is the place! My room was huge and I really enjoyed the artwork all over the property. It is a great location for visiting historical center of Merida. I was there May 27 and 28th and it was over 100 degrees there so make sure you get a... More
