We found a cheap good hotel in Tulum which had A/C, Hot water shower, double bed, TV, private bath for $32 usd/night More

Cold showers, rats, and rain coming in through the roof on your head at night. Nasty Nylon sheets. and a heinously uncomfortable bed. Miles out of town. We didnt care to much about where to stay and found this hostel on the road. Its simple, clean and very basic. We loved Tulum very much and for that reason there was no need to look any further. I stopped at the hostel while in Tulum (2003) and looked around. I didn't actually stay there, but I was so impressed that I am planning on going there this summer (2004).
