Rats in the room and lies from the managers. My wife and I went to Azulik for an extended weekend. We were a little disappointed with the room and amenities (no proper shower, brackish water, not very good standard for towels, etc.) but we liked the location and we would have been ok to stay there. On our second morning... More

It's taken me a while to get round to writing this review but we paid our second visit to Azulik at New Year for 10 days and for the second time had a truly wonderful time. Is it overpriced? Yes, definitely, BUT it is unique and peaceful and relaxing. The villas/huts are charming. If you want electricity/air conditioning/mini-bar etc., this... More

My husband and I spent 4 days at Azulik for our honeymoon in February. It was amazing! There is no electricity which, (don't stop reading & think to yourself "no way I'm going without electricity!") was the part that happened to be the vacation in disguise. Imagine you & your partner at a place where all you hear is the... More

Hello ... Just wanted to thank you once again for the amazing customer service and time that Amy and I had while visiting Azul. The staff went overboard to ensure that we were well taken care of. The rooms were amazing. The service was timely and wonderful. The staff was so nice, we felt we were in a family environment.... More

We stayed at Azulik from March5th through the 9th. First off I had to change the reservation once due to a scheduling conflict on our end. The change was handled promptly and I got a new confirmation. Next, I booked a transfer from the airport to the resort. I did this by phone because I could not get the interface... More

We just ended ten days in Azulik #1 and it was all as advertised. Commentary about Azulik/Copal having gone downhill, poor maintenance, discolored sheets, bad service, bad water, hearing Papaya Playa's parties, etc. — no complaints align with our experience. Frederica and the rest of the staff was exactly wonderful and the place surpassed our expectations. Ecotulum's photos do represent... More

First off... The best part of the trip was surely the view from the sea cabana.... I don't think there is anyplace else that could compare to the brilliant sea view and the salted air while napping on the bed swing and my new friend Pablo, the friendly iguana. That said, all else was much of a disappointment. We loved... More

This place has so much potential, but falls short due to poor upkeep and Management. You must know what you're getting into before spending your money here. Disappointments aside, this is an "eco-friendly" resort. Meaning no electricity. So, there is a certain degree of "roughing it" in play. However, when paying what we paid per night (about $290), one should... More

just got back from azulik and felt compelled to review. first, when looking over trip advisors reviews you need the correct perspective. people that can spend 300 bucks a night probably have been to some pretty nice hotels, best service, restaurants, etc .But, if you look at azulik purely from a dollars vs. deluxe angle it fails. this properties existence... We stayed in the Honeymoon Villa in September 2011. We stayed in Tulum for eight days, and we stayed at two other hotels on the beach prior to staying at Azulik. I'd HIGHLY recommend the other two we stayed at - Posada del Sol and Playa Mambo - over Azulik. We planned our trip so that we'd stay at Azulik... More
