We stayed two night in this hotel May 2012. The hotel is okay, but the location is more than that, it's something incredible. The Sierra Madre was something we had never seen before. The rooms were clean but we think some remodelling would be nice and to add something local to the decoration. The common areas restaurant, bar and the... More

Not to be confused with the Mirador Hotel in Divisadero, the Posada Barrancas Mirador is fantastic. Perched on the edge of the famed Copper Canyon, the views cannot be beat. The rooms were clean, comfortable and charming. The staff was tremendous. Gabriela greeted us and explained everything we needed for our stay. The free tour of the area and the... More

Arriving early afternoon, this is all about the view & as such the hotel has much to offer. Bedroom & bathroom OK, heating via air conditioning unit. The staff in the restaurant are very pleasant, good evening meal. Local musician entertained before dinner for 30 mins - it was "happy half hour" i.e. 2 for 1. Breakfast was a buffet... More

Great views from the rooms, each with a balcony. We enjoyed seeing a thunderstorm in the distance, complete with lighting. Outstanding meals!! The staff made one of the best vegan dishes for dinner that we have ever tasted anywhere. Great views from the dining room as well. No televisions in the rooms, which is OK if you are there to... Perched on the edge of the canyon, this hotel offers is a relatively new facility, with bright spacious. There are no phones or TV in the rooms, but you won't miss them. The scenery is breathtaking. Upon arrival in DIvisidero, the hotel is waiting to pick you up at the train station. Despite ten people checking in, the process went... More

This hotel is literally right on the top of a canyon cliff, and our room had the most stunning view I have ever experienced from a hotel bedroom window. Very comfortable hotel with good service, and the further entertainment of many humming birds on the patio. A good location for exploring the canyon rim and also the bottom, although the... More

If you are going to the Copper Canyon this is the only place to stay. It is built on the edge of the canyon and every room has a balcony overlooking the Canyon with a stunning view. The rooms are basic but adequate, the food is to a good standard and the service is excellent. If yo are fit try... More

I was confused about this hotel since TripAdvisor has two different hotels listed, but it is the same one - hotel Posada Barrancas Mirador. Basically, when you are on the train, you can get off in Divisadero station and choose from many hotel options, or go to the next station - Posada Barrancas - and choose from 2 or 3... More

We were booked to stay 2 nights as a stop-over on our Chepe Train trip. However, my daughter developed an ear infections that was vary painful at altitue so we had to cut our stay short. As this was all prepaid (meals at this hotel were included with our package) I wasn't optimistic that they would accommodate our change request...... More
