This is a small boutique hotel with a labyrinth of rooms and terraces extending from an entrance on Calle Hidalgo. The master suite was very reasonably priced (with air conditioning- not something you normally need, but at certain times of year a nice thing). The passages within are exposed to the sky and winding, with scattered areas for sitting and... More

I loved this place! It is some kind of a house in a very good location, it has a huge tree in the middle of the lobby, the decoration and the building is Spanish Colonial, Cantera walls, lovly terraces full of Bugambilias trees! The hotel is not new, it needs a little bit of maintenance but this negative point is... More

I booked this hotel on Booking.com, this was my first mistake! The website has pictures associated with each room and promises certain amenities with each room. I had a narrowed my decision to 3 different hotels, all with fridge and microwave and coffee maker, this was imperitive for the kind of schedule we were anticipating while in San Miguel. I... More

Thank you for your feedback we are quite sorry for your inconveniences but we are glad our manager could do his best to make you more comfortable. Unfortunately websites like the one you mention do misinterpret the room and its features which are not listed in our hotel website. we will do our best to try to settle this confusion... More

It was my very first time in Mexico and after having spent four days in Mexico City, coming to SMA was like a revelation! I always go to lengths choosing a place to stay and I had considered x hotels (there are many nice ones!) before I settled for this - and what an excellent decision I had made! My... More

We stayed two nights in this hotel. The location was very good, close to all of the central locations. The staff was friendly and generally helpful. The rooms were clean but rather dark. We had the least expensive room and it was right off of the street so it could be noisy at night with the traffic and people walking... More

Although it seems impossible that one could go wrong in the paradise that is San Miguel de Allende, Casa Quetzal was a charming and romantic retreat! I loved that stepping off of the cobblestone streets, we entered into an Escher-like series of patios and courtyards studding the narrow, plant-lined, open-air halls between breezy rooms. I can still taste the papaya... More

This was a 20 or so room boutique hotel. My room was located at the end of a long pathway full of beautiful desert plants, and there was a nice roof top patio with a great view of the city. How do I get one of these Mexican beds back home? It was so comfortable. I booked very early and... More

The location of Casa Quetzal is excellent, only a few blocksfrom the zocalo. All the rooms are differnet with a couple nice roof top patios. Lots of spots to get away and relax with a good book. I went to San Miguel de Allende to attend a friend's party. In researching many properties it became clear that a one night stay can be very expensive. I settled on Casa Quetzal because it was reasonably priced at $110/night. It was centrally located but very average. I guess, as the expression goes, you get what you pay for.
