Hotel Santiago is an immaculate, smoke free hotel situated in Puebla's historic centre. Our room was airy and spacious near the rooftop patio that overlooked the cathedral and part of the zocalo. Very reasonable rates, excellent housekeeping and reception staff.

We really loved our short stay in Puebla so this might color our opinion of the hotel too. You simply could not ask for a better hotel location. If you found out of the window <grin> you would land right in the heart of the city. Half a block away and around the corner is a nice strip of restaurants... More

My husband and I arrived in Puebla without reserving a hotel. We went around to numerous hotels around the historic center and they all ranged in price from $80 to $150 US dollars per night. The Hotel Santiago was only half a block from the cathedral and was $45 per night! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room... More

This is not a fancy hotel, although the lobby looks like it might be. But the rooms are clean, and the bathroom is fairly large and clean. The beds are a little hard, and the bedding is clearly budget quality. Also, a "matrimonio" bed seemed to be a double, I am pretty sure it wasn't a queen. You have the... More

We made a reservation at the Santiago for the in-laws and ourselves two weeks in advance. Despite a confirmation and assurance that the two rooms - specifically, their last queen room and almost last "sencilla" room, when we arrived, they claimed not to have such a reservation and then ignored us. We had to ask for hotel recs before they... More

My friend and I stayed at this hotel in 2001 when we were on our way to Oaxaca. When this trip came up with my daughter . . . going to Veracruz, I looked up this hotel again. I emailed, asked for a room with 2 beds and was quoted a price 80¢ higher than in 2001! We paid approx... More

I went to Puebla without any hotel reservations. I was greeted at the door, doorman was very helpful. The concierge showed me a couple rooms to pre-approve before i selected. The room was clean, neat, tidy. bed was comfortable. There was no A/C but the airflow was sufficient during my stay. room service was prompt, courteous. the hotel is walking... More
