Comfy four poster bed, good shower and plenty of space (had superior room 1, was fab) and very helpful hosts. Wi Fi worked fine for us - not at fibre optic speed but then you are in Cornwall! Plentiful breakfast - there is no restaurant for evening meals but their are loads of options within a short drive, and two... More

PROS: Warm welcome and very good service. Lovely building and grounds. Very good breakfast. Clean. Warm and comfortable. Good location and easy to find. CONS: Free Wi-Fi didn't work in the bedroom (room 4) unless stood next to the door, and then only intermittently (and slowly). Small room and bathroom, and tiny bath with fixed shower overhead (with plenty of... More

I have stayed at this former Abbey twice now, both in Room 8. Highly recommended. The location is ideal as it is central and you can use the Abbey as a base. The owners were so helpful. Each morning they asked us what we had planned for the day and then offered maps and guides to help get us there!... More

This is a lovely little hotel full of history and set in pleasant grounds. The owners are very friendly and helpful and it has a family run feel to it. The superior room has a massive and comfortable bed and the bar /lounge is definitely worth a drink in.The location is ideal for visiting other parts of Cornwall however we... More

Absolutely beautiful 15th Century former Abbey, walking distance to a pub, fish & chip restaurant, and shop; and just off the main A30 through Cornwall. This makes it great for business travellers (Bodmin being so central in the county) and Holidays alike for getting around Cornwall. The welcome was very good, and we were given a good run down of... I am here typing the review as i lay on a comfy bed and in room 8. Two bathrooms with this room one with a deep roll top bath and the other with the loo and a multi jet shower cubicle. Nice decoration and very clean. Had a very nice sandwich and cream tea in the garden and the salmon... More

We had a superior room which was lovely. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The family running the business was welcoming, friendly and well informed about local attractions, beaches and things to do. Breakfast offered a wide variety of cerals, fruits, juice, etc and then a lovely cooked, full English breakfast. We got a bit picky on the second... More

For the second year running my brother and I found ourselves back in Bodmin for the pre-season friendly between Bodmin and QPR. On this occasion we discovered St. Benet's Abbey ... a very friendly hotel situated just outside Bodmin close to the village of Lanivet. Our hosts, the Warner family couldn't do enough for us making sure our short stay... More
