This campground is beautiful, wonderfully located within walking distance to shops and food. Many hiking trails. Wildlife is abundant. Railroad noise wasn't a bother to us. We hardly noticed it in our RV with the windows closed. (it was cool in June). I would stay there again for sure! More

We were in an rv. At $32 (£20) a night for full service it was one of the cheaper campgrounds during our tour but nothing special. Toilets were nearby and good. Fairly scenic - nice view of mountains. Showers weren't close to us. This was the only campground where we could actually feel the trains going by, never mind all... More

I've been a camper my entire life, and this was the worst campground ever. The trains pass through almost constantly, all night long. And, the noise from the highway is also terrible. NOT a restful, peaceful camping experience. We we camping on dirt, with no natural ground cover. There are no fire pits - what they have are more like... More

We stayed for one night at the Lake Louise Campground tenting site. One night at Lake Louise is plenty, as there isn't much to do around there other than hang out at the Lake...definitely worth a visit, but not an extended one. The tenting section is large and very beautiful, like staying in the heart of a forest. The washrooms... More

We stayed at this campground after the Two Jack Lakeside in Banff (which is the best campground I've ever stayed in). We stayed 3 nights as a base camp for our hikes, the original site they gave us was right next to the amphitheatre, which we declined. We ended up in a non-fire loop that was perfect for us since... Lake Louise Campground is a nice inexpensive place to stay on your trip to Banff. Sites are well maintained, and bathrooms are pretty close to every site that we could tell. There are a few things we found out that were different than the campgrounds that we stayed at within the American National Park system which will be helpful if... More

This campground has trains going by all night long blowing their horns about every half hour. We had two sites 49/50 which have power but no water or sewer. These sites also have no firepits. There are a very limited amount of RV/trailer sites with firepits. There is only 1 shower building which is approx 10 min walk or longer... More

We stayed for 2 nights with a full hook up, the shower block was a drive away and we were kept awake at night by the constant noise of trains about 200 yards away blasting their horns, perhaps to wake everyone up! More

Very well kept campground. Bathrooms were clean. Sites close together but still felt some privacy with all the trees. Small shops close by with camping gear, groceries, great bakery and gift shop. Well protected from bears. Beautiful river running right by. Lake Louise and Morraine within a few minutes drive. Made reservations early and glad I did. They were full... More
