When you can stay in a clean room, centrally located, in a major canadian City for about $70.00 a night, it's a deal, in my books! I understood this was not a 5 Star from the get go, but the bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom clean, and stocked with toiletries, coffee, as well as free wifi. There is a... More

We stayed at the Travelodge twice on either end of our trip to Canadian Rockies. This is a typical older motel for a decent price. The first room had very comfortable beds but the second had old lumpy mattresses - hopefully this means the place is replacing the older beds. Our rooms were very clean but obviously older and in... Our family pre booked and got a really great deal so it was affordable. However, we walked into the room to find food on the floor and a huge stain on the sheets. We always check sheets for bedbugs, so we really search beds. There were no plastic covering which is very scary considering the spread of bed bugs. There... More

Property appears to be older and is showing its age. Entire property had a strong cleanser smell (and not a pleasent one). Outdoor pool is shared with neighboring hotel and hand a number of bugs and leaves floating around in it. On the plus side, the hotel was easy to find (just off of Trans Canadian 1) and was walking... More

Got a room here during the ever-busy Stampede opening weekend, used a discount code, and was extremely happy with it all -- but especially the price. Decent location right on Banff Trail by the C-Train, free breakfast which is always nice (although it wasn't as good as many other free breakfasts offered in other hotel/motels), and clean, comfortable rooms. Loved... More

Stayed at the University Travelodge because they are listed as a dog friendly hotel. The hotel is wonderful! Very nice, very clean, the staff are so welcoming, including to the 2 large dogs we were travelling with. They were helpful, easygoing and the service was excellent! Continental breakfast has lots to choose from, making our pleasant stay complete. We will... More

This is our second st this hotel. We stayed 4 nights while visiting with our son. Can't beat the price, $95 per night which includes breakfast! Fairly good assortment of food but if you run a little late, the selection of muffins, etc. diminishes. Our room was comfortable. Not high end bedding but what do you expect for this price.... More

The hotel staff were really friendly. One lady offered us free tickets to the CFL Western Final that she couldn't use but it was a bit too cold outside for us to take her up on her generous offer. The hotel was built for the Calgary '88 Olympics and probably hasn't been updated since. Although there was no restaurant in... More

This hotel was adequate for our stay in Calgary. It is a short trolley ride into the centre of the city. We had a car to explore other areas of the city too (such as Walmart). But the price was right at $106US, when we stayed mid June 2010. The room was fine, spacious and had a small fridge. The... More

Another downtown hotel. Probably the oldest hotel we stayed in, and it showed its wear. But it was clean and very convenient to restaurants. We ate at Red Lobster and for the first time while in Canada our dinner bill wasn’t a hundred dollars. They served a very nice continental breakfast in the morning. All in all it turned out... More
