If you are looking for a place that is centrally located in Calgary and you don't want to pay hotel prices, this bed and breakfast is a good option. Its an interesting historical spot and the owner is very accommodating, she will prepare you an elaborate or simple breakfast and will consider any dietary issues. I enjoyed my visit -... More

I have been staying at this B&B on and off for about 6 years. I don't readily entertain staying anywhere else. I am usually on my own, but once with my family of five and a couple of times with just my wife. It's a happy balance of a great business place to work from, a relaxing place to sit,... More

With our 3 month old in tow, we weren't sure how warm the reception would be but the Executive Room provided a beautiful and private space for our family. The host, Deirdre was exceptional and prepared delicious breakfasts which we shared with other guests in the grand dining room. The B&B is ideally situated for a walk along the Elbow... More

After the austerity and coldness of commercial hotels, my wife and I were delighted to find warmth and welcome in such a convenient location. The rooms are interesting, clean, and equipped with every convenience from reliable wi-fi, to modern TVs, to refrigerators--all with antiques and wallpaper. Deirdre, the hostess, is charming and friendly. She's also a wonderful cook who accommodates... More

The house is a mission style early 1900's, and seems untouched by time with 90% authentic features! It is beautiful and worth exploring in all it's details. From the bedrooms themselves, to the dining room, to the sun room. Each and every room has a lot of character and you can spend hours observing and admiring! Deirdre, the owner is... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, and had a wonderful time. Deidre is a wonderful, friendly host who cooks fantastic breakfasts. Could not have asked for more for our first two nights in Calgary, and our last before returning home. It was home.

I spent three nights here while attending a conference in Calgary. It was delightful to stay in a home with such nice hosts and guests. As a child, one of my favorite series of books was Anne of Green Gables- but growing up in a one story house I couldn't imagine what it was like to live in a gable... More

We stayed in the Executive Suite (3 rooms!) and we've never had more room in a B & B before. We were greeted warmly by Henry and made to feel right at home by Deidre when we arrived late on a Saturday night. We had been in the car all day driving from Fairmont Hot Springs through Jasper, Kootenay and... More

I am absolutely delighted my very first B&B experience was in the historic "Twin Gables"! I was truly fortunate to have the attic room known as the Green Gable room, a charming room with slopped ceilings and lovely double hinged opening windows in the gable end, plus an incredible large skylight over the comfortable double bed providing the most magnificent...
