I'm traveling the AlCan from Alaska to the Lower 48 and Grande Prairie was the first real city I'd seen since leaving Anchorage. After spending several challenging nights in motels & hotel's "pet rooms" because I'm traveling with my fur-child I was exhausted and simply looking for a good experience. We went to the Pomeroy in July of 2011 to visit family. The reviews that we read overall were really helpful in choosing this hotel. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily. And the continental breakfast was great. We will definitely go back again.
