HI Athabasca is set right in the heart of the woods. There is no running water, you have to pump water from the well and there are no indoor toilets, only lovely out-houses!! Like I said, it's not fir everyone but if you want a taste of simple living then I can't recommend it highly enough More

Both HI hostels are not located i Jasper, so you may as well continue out to Athabasca Falls as it is much better out of the two. Only a few dorm rooms (log cabin style) with about 20 beds or so in each. Rooms have heating and linen is provided. Toilets are outside (composte style) and there are no showers.... More
