I've stayed here my last 2 trips to Jasper. Why? Because its cheap. Rooms are very much dated. Sinks are stained. Beds are doubles, not queens. Heater worked though. Shower worked. water was hot. plenty of towels. Rooms are clean enough. only 2 small hot tubs. 1 pillow was complete junk, the other, adequate.

When going to Jasper our main focus is snowboarding so we don't require anything too fancy and we always have a very welcome and comfortable stay at the Amethyst. It's a well kept older hotel with a hot tub a small lounge and a decent restaurant.

This hotel, I think, has seen better days, but has been allowed to run down. Head board fell off the bed when we lay down (It was not secured to bed OR wall). Towels were the size of washcloths.
