We stayed at the Oceanside last week and were very happy with the accommodation. The place was a great find. Terrific location near English bay beach and Sanley park. There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants of all types nearby. The suites were very clean, beds very comfortable and staff was very friendly. While most of the downtown hotels charge... More

I’ll be quick. Great location, great price. Downtown-walking distance. Off an awesome little street with a ton of affordable food. Free parking. But you get what you pay for. Really simple. Semi –clean. Acceptable, I’d say. See my review of a hotel in Paris for worse. Really friendly people. Dated towels, kitchen dishes not cleaned well at all. But again,... More

This is the second time we've stayed at the Ocanside. The location is fabulous - you can walk everywhere. Parking is included which is rare inVancouver. It's so convenient to have a kitchen and a separate bedroom as well as wifi. Excellent value. More

This was my first time at the Oceanside Hotel and I wasn't too sure what it was going to be like because the price was so low. When I got there, Sam the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. He even showed me my parking spot. The furniture and carpets are a bit dated, but clean and... More

This place was a great find. The suites were newly renovated and huge. We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable with big screen TV , free wireless internet, free parking and very friendly staff. It is just a block away from the English Bay beach and within easy walking distance to the city centre and Stanley Park.... More

A terrific apartment hotel where you are able to enjoy life without pretense. Everything is within walking distance -- deli's for your cooking pleasure --- beach walk [ one block] and Stanley Park [ 3 blocks]. A place to relax and enjoy the family. It is also pet friendly, without a fee. Lots of shopping from boutique to major food... More

It's rather an apartment than a hotel room, which was great, since I could drop by the nearest market and fix a meal, instead of splashing around in expensive restaurants all the time. The room was huge, divided into a big bedroom with drawers and closets, a bathroom, a small american style kitchen and a huge living room complete with... More

We stayed at this hotel between 6th to 15th September 2011 - we were in Vancouver for a leisure holiday. I give this hotel an overall positive rating. First let me list the positive aspects: good location - right by English Bay, shops & plenty of sit-down restaurants & take-away places. Close to Safeways & discount supermarket as well as... More

Three of us recently stayed at the Oceanside Hotel Vancouver before taking the ferry to Vancouver Island. It's an easy walk to Stanley Park and the Aquarium, and is only a couple blocks from the water. There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants nearby, of all types. Parking was in a gated, covered garage, and was included in the price.... More

The hotel is about 10 blocks from the main downtown area, but that should not put anyone off from staying here. Vancouver isn't the cheapest place for us Brits right now, but the bars and restaurants near the Oceanside represent the best value that we found; e.g. near half-price beer when compared with downtown. The hotel is right next to... More
