Stay at the Opus regularly while visting colleagues in Yaletown. This is a really nice hotel, with thoughtfully equipped rooms and great service. You won't get much in the way of freebies, such as breakfast, but overall its worth it for a nice stay. Would have given 5 stars, but I find the breakfast service really slow and starts too... More

Janelle, their guest relations specialist (I have no idea if that is her title or not...but it should be), took amazing care of us from arrival to departure. She's a great problem solver and handled some unusual booking issues extremely well and the outcome was outstanding. Opus is now my favorite Vancouver hotel and it will be home for me... More

I usually stay at large chain hotels and was uncertain what to expect at first, but can say that my first experience at the Opus was a positive one. The attention to detail made the stay more comfortable - from the heated floor to the high quality L'Occitaine bath products to the comfortable bed. The technology in the room is... More

This was my second time at the Opus and it was just as good as the first. We had a king room this time with 4 piece bath. Great water pressure, lovely soaps and I adore the heated floor. We found out that Hybrids get free parking -- a very nice bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and... More

Just stayed at the Opus this past long weekend. Although the location was great, the room/hotel was definitely not a 4-5 star hotel as per my booking made through Priceline.com. I had expected much more. I was quite surprised and disappointed in the amount of wear & tear. Some of the furniture in our room was VERY beaten up. It... More

Dear Munchsmom, thank you very much for taking the time to pass along your comments. It was great to read about how you felt that the staff was friendly, but I wanted to apologize for the various concerns you brought forward regarding the property. The Housekeeping team has already met and discussed your feedback in depth. We take our guests'... More

This was our second stay at the Opus. Our first was more than a bit unsettled by the sound of the nightclub in the lobby which goes 'til all hours. That said, the staff was absolutely as accomodating as they could possibly be - just be sure to ask where your room is relative to the lobby/club!!! This second stay... More

The hotel is located across the street from the metro which gets you in from the airport in 20 minutes. The waterfront, restaurant/club district, and roundhouse museum/performance center steps away. Room was very comfortable, fireplace, turn-down service, separate walk-in shower and bathtub big enough for two. Hip/modern design throughout. Best part - complimentary bikes to use on miles of uninterrupted... More

Okay hotel, expected a bit newer, carpets were stained as well as furniture. Rooms were small but ok. Staff were friendly and very trendy donned in signature pink fluevogs ( for the men!) Complimentary car service only valid for certain areas, would not accomodate rogers arena. Bit dissapointing. Breakfast was very very very delicious! If you dont stay i highly... More

I spent the night of my birthday at the Opus and was pleasantly surprised at check-in to find they had upgraded me to a King Room. The room had a great downtown city view and a cool, funky vibe. Very comfortable room and very friendly staff. The location is fantastic, with the Yaletown waterfront a short walk away and the... More
