I stayed here for one night. In short: do not stay here if you have any other option available to you in Victoria. The hotel is not clean, and as a single female I did not feel safe. First, the pros: the location was convenient. The sheets and duvet did seem clean. The parking is included and is secured at night. The cons: the bathtub was stained and gross. The hotel old and run down - scuffs on the walls, panels missing out the ceiling, wires hanging down, etc. Duct tape as wallpaper in the elevator. Floors do not look clean. The parking area is poorly lit, and NOT secure during the day. I felt quite uncomfortable getting in and out of there. And my favorite parts: There was a FILLED bottle of prescription pills under my bed (noticed when checking for bed bugs). In the bedside table there was a Narcotics Anonymous book. Shockingly overpriced. I paid $200 to sleep in my clothes, not shower, and get the hell out of there first thing in the morning.

Run, it mice and actual mouse traps in the rooms. The carpets left our socks and feet black like they have never been cleaned. I would have to say I felt so unsafe I put a chair against the door. I would have left but we pre paid. Staff didn’t care to hear about complaints. Go to a name brand hotel this was not worth it

not great, weird vibe and atmosphere. Not a place to be if you have to start your walk anywhere after dark. Seemed to be a lot of people hanging out in the parking lot and around the hotel not interested in renting a room

This establishment claims that they are smoke free, yet when we were checking in, the fire alarm kept going off, I questioned it and the reply I got was “yeah that happens all the time we pretend like we can’t hear it”. I booked with Agoda which is actually under booking.com and never had a problem. On the app it said they were pet friendly, and then at the front desk we were told it wasn’t. It was already really stressful and they did not offer free cancellation, instead I was just handed a phone number and told to call them. They weren’t going to deal with the situation, they had surveillance cameras and should be able to pick up sound. If a hotel claims to be smoke free but the front desk doesn’t even care about the alarm going off and said it happens all the time but they are willing to make their customers stay a living nightmare and disregard fire safety standards??? How are they still in business in downtown Victoria?

We were worried by the bad reviews for this hotel, but it really was fine, very good value for money, comfortable, plenty of space, the bathroom was a bit out of date but fine. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was close to a great place for breakfast, Jam Cafe, and plenty of excellent bars for a beer before bed.

Absolutely horrible hotel. Poorly repaired holes in the walls, dust covered air vents, unwashed glass sliding door, mold in the bathroom, toilet paper not in a dispenser, loose toilet seat, broken thermostat with duct tape over it. Musty smell in hallways. Felt like I had bugs on me from just sitting on the bed. Absolutely terrible.

We came to this hotel after a long day with many hotels completely booked. The room was horrible, there was small blood marks on the sheets, the walls were dirty and no fire detector. We checked out right away. The tub was stained from having a tub mat there for too long, paint coming off the walls. There was even splatter from something on one of the chairs in the room. When we went to the front desk to check out, there were Cockroaches on the desk. Completely disgusting. Will not be returning.. After we spoke to the guy at the desk, he mentioned that he is currently looking for a new job, and that the owners do not take care of place. This is definitely a health hazard and will be reported to B.C. hotel health and safety.

All around filthy. I’m 100% sure they don’t clean the rooms or change the bedding between customers. The bedding was disgusting. The bathroom had leftover hair in the tubs. The rugs, walls, phones and pretty much all surfaces were equally filthy.

The room was very old and completely worn out. The bed moved horribly each time one of us turned over. The filth in the corners and behind the headboard was just unbelievable. We had a jacuzzi tub, which was filthy and scary. There was no shower stall, just a nozzle by the tub, so this meant standing in the open trying to get clean with one hand while washing with the other. There was no makeup light anywhere, so that was a real challenge. the coffee machine offering was minimal, with one coffee pod, two coffee mate packs and no artificial sweetener. We wanted to have a nightcap, a little scotch with ice. Alas, there was no ice. The desk said the machine was broken. This is seriously the worst hotel in which we have ever stayed. We have traveled worldwide, including Mexico and the UK and numerous hostels all over Australia ans New Zealand. This place beat any of them hands down for GROSS!

Okay... I am usually not the one to complain but this place is a God-forsaken hellhole! I have NEVER seen a worse place to stay at. And I mean it literally. This place is a health hazard and should have been shut down months ago. 1) It's very dirty, plain and simple. At 160 bucks a night I don't expect much but I do expect the room to be clean. The room wasn't obviously dirty but it was gross - the carpet hadn't been vacuumed for ever and the room stank. The decor and furniture are from a bad 1970s hook-up motel. The place stinks of weed and it feels unsafe. Lots of dodgy people in and around the property. 2) Worst of all - we had a live mouse in our room. The mouse woke us up middle of the night eating a snack we had left out on the desk, and we ended up spending the rest of the night in the car. Absolutely disgusting. 3) I can't believe the city tolerates this. This place is an absolute wreck. I am utterly disgusted and grossed out by my stay there. 4). Upon complaining to the front desk staff member we were assured that a manager would call us regarding a refund - never happened. . 5) for 50 to 100 bucks more you can get a nice clean room in a good hotel. This place should have a sign that reads: we only charge you 50 a night but stay at your own risk. Then it might be fair. Instead, they charge 160 a night and just continue doing business like it's normal to have mice infestations in the 21st century Canadian city hotel. 6) a minor thing: cockroaches in the bathroom. 7) the ONLY redeeming feature of this pile of dung is that it is very close to all attractions in Victoria. If you are a bakpacker who doesn't mind staying in a sh*thole as long as it's close to town, then MAYBE you could consider it. But again - why would you pay 160 a night in this hell? Utterly appalling!
