We visited Newfoundland in July 2010 and drove to Brigus for a visit and stayed two nights. We stayed in the Brittoner B&B. All we have to say is Betty, the owner, is very friendly; cooked us excellent breakfasts (two different ones in two mornings). The B&B has a beautiful backyard facing a lake. The only comment is the house... More

If you find yourself in the Northern Avalon area of Newfoundland, I highly recommend staying at the Brittoner in Brigus. The host, Betty, is quite welcoming and she makes you feel at home and comfortable right away. (She also makes a delicious French toast!) She recommended a fantastic place for us to have dinner just five minutes away and gave... More

My wife and I and our two kids really enjoyed this B and B. The building has a lot of spirit and it's clean and cozy. Brigus sure is a cool little town. Betty and the Brittoner, what a great slice of Newfoundland! The Brittoner is conveniently located across from a lovely garden, next to a cafe, ample parking across the street.and the view at breakfast is to a small lake (or maybe it was a tidal arm of the sea) and only a block or 2 from the bay. Brigus is a... More

We thought this was an excellent B&B. Brigus itself is a delightful town and the B&B building is over 160 years old. The rooms and bathrooms were very large and were clean and well-presented. The best thing about the B&B was our hostess, who went to great lengths to make sure that our stay was a comfortable one. We were... More
