We stayed in the Pink Room, a fireplace and Jacuzzi suite, on a Groupon deal. The staff were friendly, and the food the next morning was wonderful. Piping hot muffins with breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. The room itself is in desperate need of renovation. Pink and grey everywhere, very 1980's; exposed pipes along the ceiling and... More

We are glad to hear that you found your stay comfortable and that you enjoyed your hot breakfast. Thank you for your comments, we really do value them. I am sure you noticed while you stayed that we have started extensive renovations on some of the suites. We are in the process of upgrading many of our rooms - the... More

This time it was totally 1st time experience for me to stay at B&B. Usually stayed in those chained hotel like sheraton or hilton. Arrived at St John's at 2 am, stayed at a cheaper B&B because didn't want to spend too much money for a few hours of sleep. Could get the suite since they were all reserved due... More

We stayed one night, but won't return unless a renovation happens. The furnishings and building are shop-worn...almost creepy on the rainy evening we arrived. No staff stay through the night making it seem all the more like an old movie (think Boris Karloff and a giant old house with expected noises). Parking is limited. Evening host was friendly, but no... More

Mary, Thank you for your input, we do value it. We are the new owners as of late August, and shared similar opinions as yours. You will be glad to know that we have indeed started renovations! Since you have stayed back in September, all of the bedding has been replaced with luxurious crisp white duvets and linens. Also, we... More

We stayed for two nights here in the Master Suite. It was awesome. It was a great romantic experience for both of us. The Hot Tub was great and fit both of us. After that, we lounged out in front of the faux fire place with a great deal of comfort and relaxation. Warm, quiet, romantic. The room and the... More

Only had one night there but have absolutely no complaints. Would probably stay there again if and when we return to NFLD. Had the Green Room. It was clean and well appointed. Had to leave before breakfast so cannot comment on that. Would not hesitate to recommend it for those looking for a bed and breakfast. More

We had the Gold room!!!....the B&B used to be the mansion of a millionaire, we were told by one guest. The entry hallway was huge, 10 X 30. We made use of the living room, very spacious; enjoyed good conversions with other guests and watched some TV. Our room was carpeted and very comfortable. All but 1 room had en-suite... More

We booked the Master Suite as a treat but probably should have chosen a different room to save money. The room was ok, but older decor, bed was not very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was terrible. I'm not really a jacuzzi type so really this was not worth the money for me. We stayed in a... More

We started in St. John's while on our driving tour of Newfoundland. Didn't get the car til we were leaving St. John's as we did not want to be responsible for a car in a city we did not know. Had a fantastic time here. We specifically booked rooms with en-suite bathrooms as that was one of the two request... More

This was our first stop in NF and we stayed 3 nights. Our plane arrived quite late, but the hosts left a note on the door with all the information and instructions we needed. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious with fresh fruit, yogurt, and many choices for a hot breakfast. It was a pleasure... More

I went to St. John's to visit my daughter and booked the Compton House as I had stayed there once before .. I stayed here three nights ... The staff are wonderful and friendly, very helpful (especially Dorothy) .. the breakfast is excellent, they have a hot menu that you can choose from, or there is cereal, fruit, juice, yogurt,...
