Paul and his kind wife welcomed our family with open arms, our two sons three and two were estatic and loved their new found friend, a great childrens book reader! Paul and I talked for hours and he gave us directions for a great walk along the river side through the woods where we saw wildlife and threw rocks in...

I am very pleased that I got to discover and experience Cabot Shores with a very good friend of mine. We shared a lovely chalet for the weekend, complete with a cozy wood stove and comfortable furnishings.
The food was fabulous, the service was fantastic and the music was toe tapping and very pleasing to the ear.
The main lodge...

My wife and I just want to say how much we enjoyed arriving at Cabot Shores after a day of cross-country skiing at nearby Ski Tuonela. The Main Room had a large wood burning stove and was cozy and warm. We were also welcomed warmly, as were our two dogs who got along well with Cabot Shores own Cosmo. The...

Thank you, Tarjeit & Kate, for visiting with us. We enjoyed having you and your pups very much.
Thank you also for your kind review.
We are glad you ventured out to the land of snow and took full advantage of all it offers, here at Cabot Shores and also in the immediate environment.
Warmly,
Barbara & Paul (& Cosmo)

We have all had 'good food' and 'good local food' but chief George takes it to another level. He plays with reductions and hidden flavours and amazing shapes as well as using only the best (and most interesting and seasonal) good, local food.
I hope to eat at his table again and again!

First a bit about the property .....Cabot Shores sits on 55 acres on 2000 feet of ocean beachfront to the front of the property, a lakefront to the side, a waterfall fed Indian Brook. You can...

My wife and I stayed at the Cabot Shores for the Valentines Day weekend. We had a wonderful time! Only a 1 hour drive from Sydney; it seemed as though were were in a different world! When we checked in, Paul and Barbara (the owners) suggested that we drive up to Breton Cove to the the Kitchen Party at the...

If you read all the reviews in the "average" and "poor" categories, they say everything we would say. Here is how we rated each category:
Service: (Average) The owners are very nice people but could do better at adopting a more "Maritime" attitude towards their guests. We were left feeling nickle and dimed for everything. I wouldn't mind paying extra...

One of the reasons I enjoy my visits to Cabot Shores, is that I have the pleasure of staying in one of their yurts. They provide a cozy shelter in secluded corners of the land at Cabot Shores. Staying in a yurt brings the experience of the land and sea much closer. One is surrounded by it, but protected enough.to...

Came here with the sole intent of staying in the highly touted yurt. My gf and I are regular fall campers, and used to tent conditions.
Things first got questionable when, feeling slightly under the weather after many long days of driving, I asked for a hot toddy. Instead I got a glass of cheap whiskey and water with a...
