We spent a week here on our honeymoon - it was not luxurious, there was no private spa, but it was quiet, clean, and we really got a feel for Nova Scotia. We loved being able to walk to the beach, and the little town of Inverness was charming and a perfect home-base to take day-trips from. GORGEOUS sunsets every... More

Nice clean cottages. No luxury accommodations here. Fabulous location overlooking the beach. Sound of the ocean to a prairie boy was priceless. Be nice to spend a week there in the future. Well worth the very reasonable rate

Nice location, with own beach. Front and back doors, nice back porch with two Adironack chairs, and a picnic table, Gorgeous sunsets over the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Heat works well, and there is an extra heavy blanket. Adequate room, plenty of coat hangers. They do provide towels and soap, after that you are on your own. Soap however, can... More

We arrived planning on one quiet night's stay, but we soon were changing our schedule to be able to stay another night. This is not a luxury hotel setting, but it is clean and spacious. The setting is beautiful and quiet. Walking the beach in search of sea glass was peaceful and lovely. The staff was helpful, but gave you... More

We recently rented a one bedroom cottage, and were very pleased with our stay. Pros: Wonderful location overlooking a long stretch of beach. Extremely clean and well-cared for cottage. Our queen-sized bed had a very good quality firm mattress and excellent bedding. Lovely deck overlooking the beach with comfortable chairs. Friendly and efficient service at check-in. Gorgeous views and if... More

Our family of 10 (three families) rented three cabins. Seemed like others were doing the same. The cabins had everything you need to stay for the week, although bringing a portable BBQ is advised. Our kids enjoyed the beach, floating down the mountain stream, and collecting sea glass. We were lucky enough to have a bag piper staying in a... More

Just returned from Cape Breton and spent 2 days in a cabin on the cliff (#15) at Inverness Beach Village. What a view! Saw whales in the distance both nights, the cabin was clean and comfortable, had a good firm mattress on the bed and the staff was helpful and friendly. Had some beach time, went for a swim, had... This was the start of our trip around Cape Breton (we went clockwise around). You can see from the photos and reviews that it is not brand new. It is, however, quite quaint. Our cabin was clean and overlooked the ocean. Great views and the staff were very friendly and courteous. I would give this five stars except for two... More

This was a very nice, dog-friendly, clean cabin with a full kitchen, a bedroom, and a living room that could also be used as another bedroom. At this point on the coast the view of the bay is mostly due west, so you can see lovely sunsets on the water. The manager was very helpful and friendly.

We have been to Inverness Beach Village twice. Once in 2011 and also 2009. If the weather is good (which we had in 2009), there is nothing better. It's a secluded beach that doesn't get deep for ages. The sand is lovely but also a great collection of sea glass and rocks for the kids to collect. If you're lucky... More
