My stay at the Lord Elgin for business was very good. The hotel is located near the historic area and also walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel offers free WiFi in the lobby (but not the rooms) and has a business center. I found the staff very helpful whether it was a...

I loved this hotel. Historic building with modern upgrades...everything was very clean, spacious and the staff was great. There's also valet parking for an extra charge which is very convenient and the location is nice. Can't ask for anything else!

We stayed at the Lord Elgin hotel during our long weekend visit to Ottawa in June 2011. It has an excellent location. All main tourist attractions and start points of city tours are within walking distance. Valet parking has reasonable prices.
Our room was bigger than I expected and of course was very clean. Our stay at this hotel was...

Nice hotel but very loud, mostly due to housekeeping staff. They need to use door stops while they're cleaning rooms because they're constantly slamming doors. We traveled with small children who were woken up several times. The "do not disturb" sign was on the door but they still called the room to make sure we didn't need towels, etc. They...

Thank you for your feedback following your stay with us this past long weekend.
We did discuss your comments this morning at our management meeting. We did have a full hotel this past weekend and one group had a number of young musicians with it. Being a weekend, we also had a number of families, who were in and out...

Location is aces, room was bigger and better than I expected, a comfortable bed indeed, everything “worked” and housekeeping staff put a smile on my face.
We were in and out with our car several times, the fellows on the valet desk were really pleasing.
We dined, the kitchen is top drawer. Seafood chowder and bread pudding are to write...

Impressive exterior, nice Edwardian lobby, 1930s style lifts. Pleasant room with everything you would expect in a decent hotel. Marvellous view of a government offices a few metres away but they never turned their lights off all night. Valet parking 25$ worth it to do without the hassle. Never did find out where they put the car. Excellent location close...

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time in Ottawa and founds some of the best spots for a 'jug' and wings. It is definitely one of the most popular pubs in downtown Ottawa.
We enjoy a fabulous location to be sure and have wonderful staff that make working here a joy! We are so pleased that you...

Typical hotel room--clean, quiet and the king bed was comfy. Best thing about the hotel is its location near museums, the canal and shopping. Concierge not too helpful finding a restaurant for dinner. Pricy but it is located in the middle of downtown Ottawa.

My wife and I stayed for 8 nites for a conference. Location gives easy access to many sites including Convention Centre, Parliament and Byward Market. Comfortable bed, good housekeeping - very clean. Towels were just ok. We had no view...offices and construction. A little noisy from buses and activity at street level but not disturbing for us.

Went on a little 4 day bus tour to Ottawa for the Tulip Festival. We all stayed at the Lord E. Very good service, room clean, quiet and comfortable. Would stay there again. Only problem was the service was quite slow in the "grill" restaurant for dinner. Ottawa is full of great restaurants, would recommend venturing out of the hotel...
