4/12: I just stayed at the Met in Toronto, I booked the hotel on Air Canada's website for $110/ per night which I thought was reasonable for Toronto. The pictures are the hotel are somewhat misleading for the rest of the hotel. The rooms are very dated and small, I have some issues with as couple of lamps. I went... More

As others have said, location is very central. Walking distance to U of T campus, Eaton Centre, subway stations, Queen Street shopping, etc. I stayed for 5 nights, the first of which was in an awful 7th floor tiny room. The street noise was unbearable, it smelled musty, the furniture & decor was outdated, and the bathroom needed serious renos.... More

Hotel was nice. The room was small, outdated decor. No flat screen tv, no fridge in the room either. Bed was comfortable though. Location is good. Very close to restaurants and things to do. We got a special deal that included the breakfast buffet. It was very good, and would certainly be worth paying for if it wasn't included. Other... More

I found this hotel to be very comfortable, with none of the complaints that some of the other people seem to have found. The desk staff were amazingly patient and eager to please, the pool was warm enough to suit me (and I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to cold pools!) and the hot tub was hot.... More

The room was quite small, but appeared clean. Check in was quick and friendly. However, never plug your hairdryer into power bar by TV..power goes out on that side of your room. Then when you get on your knees to reset power bar under dresser, you might cut your hand on broken glass under dresser like I did. First aid... More

The Metropolitan is a very decent value hotel. It's starting to show a little wear and tear but nothing that would be a real issue to the vast majority. They also offer smoking rooms on the 15th floor. There are a small number of rooms but smoking rooms in Toronto are a rare commodity these days. Location is convenient to... More

We have stayed at the Metropolitan Hotel several times a year in the past two years on business. The location is very good. The staff are very helpful. Some rooms are more updated than others, but the bedding is always nice and comfortable, and the rooms are always quite clean. As with most large hotels in large cities, there are... More

This hotel's staff are its best feature. We had a good laugh chatting to the reception staff about directions and the city. The room was big with a large bed and crisp white sheets.
