Excellent stay in a very accessible part of Toronto. Not too far away from anything and the staff was really helpful with helping to find things such as the Air Canada Centre.

In addition to the fact that most of this hotel has been upgraded over the past few years, almost every room is different from the other; and there is still a sense that I'm staying in a small boutque inn in the heart of the city.
I have always had helpfull answers to my questions from the staff along with...

Good and typical hotel in the downtown of Toronto city close also to a green residential district where we went to running. The hotel offer daily newspaper, continental breakfast, internet, laundry and other amenities. We must changed the first room because we didn't enjoy it but was easy make the change. The room are confortable in similar victorian style. We...

Summary:
-Old rooms: horrible and dirty, and the basement ones shake when the subway trains go by. New rooms: clean and modern with luxurious touches.
-Hotel is deceptive in providing the room type booked and in how they promote the renovated rooms online. Selecting the room types with a 32" TV may help.
-Hotel ignores Choice Privileges status
-Terrible old-style...

Hotel is located a block away from subway station. You can also walk to many attractions, including ROM, Bata Shoe Museum, Yonge Street, many stores. Room was very nice and comfy. Modern conveniences in bathroom. Super quiet. Free continental breakfast was satisfying, even for three days: cereal, toast, muffins, english muffins, eggos, hard boiled eggs, fresh apple, etc. Neighborhood is...

The old room we were first put in was really unacceptable with grey sheets, dark dank and crowded. This did not hit the mark and the receptionist was kind enough to go out of his way to move us to one of the renovated rooms on the 4th floor. Platinum card holder so might have expected this first off but...

I have stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions, the most recent being December 2011. The Hotel has some rooms that have been renovated and others that are in need. Ask for a room that has seen recent renovation-the second floor would be your best bet. The house is Victorian in origin but has seen additions that make it...

We picked this place through Expedia because we liked the whole converted 1800s mansion feel of the place. The reviews were good and the price was solid.
Check in was smooth despite a series of booking changes on our end due to a snow storm. Service was great, they helped us out by holding our luggage after we checked out...

The rooms were beautiful, modern, well equipped, although the hotel is a Victorian mansion. The location close to the subway was very convenient. The breakfast was a little disorganized -- seemed to be short staffed. Really enjoyed our stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night on Nov 23, 2011. There are two options of rooms, the updated ones (very nice, European feel) and the older rooms (still clean and large). We opted for the cheaper room at $71.99 with my CAA discount - quite a good rate for close to Yonge and Bloor and right near...
