Great alternative to the traditional hotel. We stayed in two different rooms. The first room was small but convenient. The second room overlooked the park, was larger but we had to walk up to the third floor. We found the rooms to be clean, the staff very friendly and the location perfect. It's within walking distance to two trendy areas... More

We completely enjoyed our time here. Staff was attentive, the building was charming, the location very convenient to the lively Plateau and the breakfasts were great. The only drawback was parking, which we seemed to have good luck with but was a concern every time we left the neighborhood. More

If you'd like an alternative to the large hotel experience, consider Auberge de la Fontaine in Montreal. Located in the plateau district, the inn is handsomely comprised of two former townhouses. The rooms, while not large, are tastefully outfitted with hip, Ikea-style furnishings, and many overlook the lovely Parc de la Fontaine, which invites leisurely strolls. The price includes a... More

We've been visiting Montreal regularly for 6+ years and have just discovered this Auberge. Things to like: - attractive, bright, breakfast area with GREAT variety and quality of foods and beverages (e.g. a different fruit salad each day, but always ripe tasty fruit: not hard tasteless melon and watery strawberries that are so common; - tasteful, imaginative decor in the... We stayed in a one-bedroom suite during (Ontario) March break, and took advantage of the "tourisme Montreal" deal. The location was very easy to find for out of towners, parking was easy, and there was lots to walk to in the neighbourhood. The only drawback is it is a bit of a trek to the metro (subway). The staff was... More

The Auberge has a great location across from a large park and is a short walk from numerous restaurants, shopping places and bars. The staff were flawlessly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection. It may be the first hotel breakfast I've had where soy milk was supplied without anyone asking for it (I have... More

We returned over winter break for a few nights and were not disappointed. This time we opted for the Superior Room, much roomier than the small room we had last year. Nice couch and desk, very comfy bed and pillows. Hubby had a sore foot, staff brought us a ziplock to put ice in to sooth him. Help was given... More

Overall this boutique hotel was a very pleasant experience. The staff are exceptionally helpful and courteous and helped us find all kinds of nearby attractions and restaurants. The location is superb, directly across from the beautiful Parc de la Fontaine and about a 5-10 minute walk from the Plateau shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was decent though having constant... More

Cute hotel, rooms were European sized. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The hotel kept our bicycle cases for the entire week we were cycling and not charged for the service. The little bar was a nice feature. Now to the most amazing part of our stay. Our flight was scheduled to leave in the midst of the Montreal marathon which... More

Auberge de la Fontaine is a pretty little hotel in the trendy Plateau Mont-Royal area, just opposite from a beautiful park, Parc Lafontaine. Many great restaurants, cafes, bars and shops are only a 5-10 minute walk from there. The service was particularly good, with every employee being very courteous and cheerful. My room on the 2nd floor was comfortable, clean... More
