Good: * Great location. Central but surprisingly quiet. Near the central business area, the main shopping streets, the entertainment area around Rue Crescent, and McGill. * Relatively small (maybe 100 rooms?), so retains a boutique feel and does not feel like one of the monster hotels. * Extremely friendly front-desk staff, car valets, concierge, and housekeeping. They really made the... More

Dear Golda135, We sincerely appreciate your kind response regarding the hotel location, friendly front-desk staff, and the design of our boutique hotel. We apologize for the noise coming from the bathroom as well as for the water pressure. Rest assure that we will look into it. As breakfast is always included in our room rate, we want to ensure that... More

Great business hotel close to Mcgill University. My room was very spacious, and had all one needed for a business trip. My favorite aspect of my room had to be the gigantic bathroom! The only negative about this hotel is the restaurant. I found it very overpriced considering the tiny portions( my steak was too small to even be considered... More

Everything about my stay at the hotel germain was perfect. The hotel is stylish, beds comfortable, complementary wifi, breakfast, and bottled water. This hotel is a great choice for people who need to stay downtown.

First visit to Le Germain in Montreal but have stayed many times at the Mercer Street Toronto location. The style is consistent, tasteful and modern yet still provides a comfortable setting. The staff all look like they stepped off the pages of GQ or Vogue and provide excellent service. I found the staff to be helpful and intuitive. The accommodations... More

Our third time in this hotel. Always very happy. The rooms are modern and design and the bed is amazing. The bathroom has the Molton-Brown products which we love. In the lobby you can serve yourself free coffee, tea, hot chocolate all day long. And you can sit next to the fire The concierge is very helpful and enthusiastic. The... More

Traveled to Montreal for the first time back in January for work - holy h*ll was it cold. My first experience when I walked into their lobby - a warm smile and a free cup of hot cocoa...perfection. Overall, I'll say this type of hotel is unlike the usual "Marriott experience" - you can tell they make an extra effort... More

I stayed at hotel Germain for 2 nights while taking a course at the conference center next door (Centre Mont Royal). The hotel is excellent--everything from service at the front desk to an impressive "continental breakfast" spread (including Montreal bagels, meats, cheese, eggs, bread pudding, pastries, baking, bread pudding, juice, fruit, yogurt). The rooms are very different than a normal... More

The minute you walk into the lobby of this hotel, you know you have entered the perfect place. The lobby is not one of those ridiculous over-sized, over-designed lobbies; it is a human-sized, elegant, and warm lobby. But more importantly, the staff is the best you can find. They don’t have to put their noses into the computer to know... More
