I was looking for a central location to explore the city's historical sites and museums. I was quite pleased to find La Loggia fit the bill. Easy to get too - for a first timer to Montreal. Language difference no problem. Room and facilities excellent and very clean. Breakfast more than fulfilling to start my day. Rob & Joel are... More

I was looking for something other than a conventional hotel room, and I sure wasn't disappointed. Rob is the most gracious host I've met (didn't get to meet his partner Joel). Nothing is too much trouble, and he even hung around for me to arrive after 9pm! Guy, who comes to clean, is also terrific and cooks an awesome omelette!... More

Rob and Joel have created a great place to stay. This was our first trip to Montreal and La Loggia was perfectly located to allow us to explore the entire city – access to the Metro at Berri UQAM is only blocks away and several buslines are within a few minutes walking distance. The restaurants and shops on Amherst and... More

This was our first trip to Montreal and we found La Loggia through TripAdvisor. We were very pleased with the experience. La Loggia is located on the edge of the Village in Montreal, within walking distance of a number of restaurants and attractions, most importantly the Berri UQAM metro station just a few blocks away, which then opens up access... I have stayed at La Loggia the last 6 times I have been in Montreal and plan on staying there for the next 100 or more. The attmosphier Rob and Joel have created is more than over the top. Breakfeast of fresh fruit, fresh toasted bread , local cheese and fresh local eggs on the outside deck with a strong... More

I actually found La Loggia through TripAdvisor - and I was not disappointed! It was actually my first time choosing a B&B in North America, so I wasn't sure how it was going to go. But the hosts were great and the location could not be beat - just a few blocks away from the Berri UQAM metro stop, which... More

Great hosts, suggestions from Rob were spot-on with our experience. The location of the B&B was ideal, walking distance to the Bixi biking system (wish every city had this system), Metro, great restaurants and still had a neighborhood feel, not touristy. Attention to organic, healthy and dietary foods at breakfast made this the perfect spot for us. Located on a... More

We stayed for 6 nights and found La Loggia to be ideal. Comfortable rooms, beds with soft mattresses and good bed linen, wooden floors with rugs, good showers, breakfast with fresh fruit salad, delicious bread and jam. Very comfortable but also quirky and interesting with paintings and sculptures all around. Great yard/deck with exotic and local plants, chairs and loungers.... More

A French song I´d been listening to ever since I was little says "A Montréal le Canada, c´est tout comme un poème". And then I visited Montréal to find out: It´s 100% true ! And do you know why? Because today´s Montréal was created by artists and poets during the so-called "Cultural Revolution". And one of these artists used to... More

We stayed here three nights. The location is great - not far from two metro stations and near some excellent restaurants. Rob manages the place in a very efficient yet relaxed manner, always available to help out and full of excellent recommendations about the area. Breakfast was a buffet - good selection of top quality foods - in the lovely... More
