From the moment we walked in the door, our experience was wonderful. It started off with a very friendly and helpful staff person at the front desk who gave us some restaurant recommendations and helped us stow our luggage (as we had arrived a few hours prior to check in time). The extra care we received was refreshing--the staff people... More

I've stayed in Quebec twice now and this hotel was better than the first one. Rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location is within walking distance to anything worth seeing (we went in November and were able to walk everywhere). The staff was exceptionally helpful with our luggage, giving recommendations, and answering our questions. Would come back without... More

the last time i was in Quebec City, i was 13. there, i discovered Tin Tin, croissants & a European-style of living. staying at the Manoir allowed me to indulge in youthful nostalgia, and to get reacquainted with a wonderful town. and i couldn't ask for a better place to stay than the Manoir - spotless, a warm & welcoming... Thanks Chris for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us at the Manoir d'Auteuil. It is so nice to have input from another art deco period fan. In the early 1900's, the Manoir was victim of a devastating fire, but in the 1930's, we were lucky enough that the famous and important Montreal architect Omer... More

Owned and run by a fun young husband-wife team, Manoir d’Auteuil is a fantasy slice from a by-gone era – a boutique hotel in a grand old 1870s era mansion, across a park from the Assemble Nationale (provincial parliament buildings). Most of the rooms retain original fixtures from a 1930s remodelling in the Art Deco style. My parents stayed in... More

I am so thrilled you enjoyed your stay. You stayed in our executive suite, named after architect Omer Marchand and our junior suite in which Edith Piaf used to stay. They are lovely, spacious rooms, and by all means, worth the additional expense. These master bedrooms retain their historical ambiance and grandeur, even today. Thank you for sharing your experience... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in Nov 2011. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to stay in good friendly place that is very comfortable and reasonably priced. I have stayed in quite a number of hotels in North America and this was up there with the best. The Staff are very helpful and friendly, cannot do... More

The hotel is located in the Upper town area of Vieux Quebec (Old Quebec City). It's within the walls of Old town, but on the edge (the last street before the wall), so it's about equidistant from the rest of Old town and the Parliament area. It's a charming hotel with cute rooms...our room was on the top floor, so... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. So much of sleep quality in any hotel will inevitably depend on other clients in the hotel. We are normally a very quiet hotel, and I am sorry that other clients returning so late to their rooms were making so much noise in the hallways. This room is a european... More

I had a great stay at this hotel. We were a large group traveling together. The hostess went out her way to make sure everything was going smoothly. We had booked a queen bed with a pullout sofa. They brought in another regular bed to the room, instead of the sofa so that we could have a more comfortable stay.... More

I was a touch worried after reading all the reviews about the size of the European rooms on the fourth floor. We were in room 41 and I was pleasantly suprised by the roominess. It was perfect for us. It was exactly what we wanted and needed with the Carnival sight about a 3 minute walk away. The staff was... More

Thank you so very much for taking the time to place a review. Given that the house was originally built in 1835, all rooms vary in size. The european rooms are smaller, with slanted ceilings and a dormer window, but have all of the amenities needed to enjoy your stay. Prices in Quebec City soar during the high season, which... More

This is a wonderful and charming boutique hotel. We stayed in a junior suite (Room 7) with an incredibly large bathroom. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable. Very nice hotel, very clean. In a great location for walking though the old town. The off-site underground parking worked out really well; convenient and just a couple of minutes walk from the front door. Can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Only drawback was the central heat. Had a great stay. More

I cannot tell you how glad I am that you took the time to address the heat issue as well as all of your gracious compliments. We are a character property in a historic building.
