After traveling for house from Toronto, we discovered our confirmed booking at a hotel was "forgotten" and our room given to other travellers. We urgently had to find another space, and found Jacques and Sylvie's hotel. They were so friendly and kind and we felt right at home when we arrived. The entire property is beautiful and well restored so... More

Hello Nomad 1966A, you will be happy to know we have now only 3 rooms and 3 PRIVATE bathrooms, the renovation had been done in féb, 2012 and we are now only in private bathroom, then only 6 people can be in the Hayden's in the same time, and the living room is available before breakfast time. best regards, (... We decided to book this B&B due to good reviews pointed here. As usual, we could not find something different. Jacques and Sylvie host their guest in a superbe manner with all kind of finesse. All e-mails were promptly responded we felt very comfortable. No errors, no misunderstandings. The house is located about 10 - 15 minutes walking from Petit... More

Nice breakfast, although it is served only at 8:30 and the living quarters are locked until that point. Guests who are up earlier have the option of hanging out in their small rooms, or in the tiny parlor area upstairs, or in the stairwell that leads to the first floor. Really? For those who are very budget minded, this may... More

Stayed with Sylvie and Jacques at the end of August. Jacques is a great host and Sylvie is a great example of how people in Quebec are, friendly, warm and hospitable. The B&B is not right in the middle of Old Montreal, so be prepared to walk about 10-15 minutes from the edge of the Old City. But thanks to... More

This big and beautiful, old, historic house offers 4 appropriatel decorated and comfortable bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms completely equipped with all modern necessities. The dining room where breakfast is served at a big table feels like one has stepped back in time. The breakfasts were magnificent and ample - differed every day with items like eggs benedict, crepes with... More

My mom and I spent 3 fabulous nights at Jacques & Sylvie's b&b. They were fantastic hosts who genuinely cared about our comfort and happiness while staying at their b&b. It is situated at an ideal location. We never rented a car and didn't feel the need to have one during our visit. Highly recommend this b&b. You won't be... More

We have stayed in quite a few B and B's. This one is right there at the top of the list. We could not have been treated better. Sylvie and Jacques were the most gracious of hosts. The house is in a perfect location, on a small street right next to the river. There is a bike route and bus... More

Exceptional service, excellent visiting tips, and breakfast to write home about!! The bedroom (the 'pink room'... chambre rose) and bathroom were impeccably clean and are decorated in an old French country style. Air conditionning in the hallway area outside the bedrooms, and our room had a ceiling fan. We shared a bathroom with an other couple (who we didn't know),... More

Jacques and Sylvie were wonderful hosts and could not have been more helpful. Being converted from a very old hotel the stairs are tight for luggage but everything about the place says "welcome". The breakfast was outstanding. It is located out of the old city but it is easily accessible by a twenty minute walk or by regular bus service. More

Service: Sweet, friendly service. Very organised and interesting people, which I always like. Excellent advice on what's going on in Quebec. Breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. Room: Large enough, it was slightly hot, despite opening up the little window above our door to let the air conditioning flow in. Location: 20 minute walk from the old city - the walk up... More
