This is my second nite, they are well located walking distance to the old city center. The rooms are very nice, furnished in the old european style but wilth all the necessities (cable TV, bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast yesterday was very good. Its a 130 year old house that was refurbished by the current owners...the owners... More

This little inn is a real treat if you are travelling from anywhere in New England to Montreal or Quebec City. The rooms in the inn are lovely, the owners are very nice and helpful and the breakfast is excellent!!

Their website states: True to the gourmet tradition of the Eastern Townships, we cordially invite you to our cozy dining room, the Place Saint-Michel, where a variety of pleasures and treasures await you. As you relax at your charming wicker table, you are surrounded by the colourful paintings of Manon Carrier, lush green plants and beautiful porcelain dishes and open... More

This is a great bed and breakfast. The rooms are really enormous. We had a suite, which is almost like having a little apartment without the kitchen, but they do provide a refrigerator. Everything is scrupulously clean. It is the cleanest place I've been in recently. Even the shower is perfect. The hosts are the best-- pleasant and helpful. The... More

We had a very pleasant one-night stay at this well-maintained B&B. The proprietress was most gracious, and very helpful in discussing and booking dinner plans. Our homey top-floor room (steep stairs) was large, well-furnished, and nicely air-conditioned. They have a small outdoor deck which was perfect for having a pre-dinner glass of wine, but a small breakfast room is the... More

This property is beautifully refurbished, with clean rooms that all have private baths. Be sure to look at the photo album of before and after pictures. Because it is in the center of a fairly large and busy town, there is some traffic noise. But you are close to some excellent restaurants. The Vietnamese born owner and her Canadian husband... More

I recently stayed at the Marquis de Montcalm on a biking trip from Montreal to Quebec City. The bed and breakfast is beautiful. We stayed in the La Palais du Voges room (sp?) which has a handpainted fresco across one wall. It is clear that Tam and her family take a lot of care to make each guest as comfortable... More

I came here with my mother, for a two-days vacation. The B&B is near everything and we didn't even have to use the car for two days! The owners are nice (and speak french and english), the food (breakfast) is great and the bedrooms are simply beautiful. So first, we had some great talks with the owners - they helped... More

Than-Hoa and her husband Sylvain couldn't do enough for us during our recent stay. The room was charming, clean and very spacious. Every day, we started with a delicious breakfast. They wanted to be sure that we enjoyed our stay. They know the area, asked us about what we would like and then recommended restaurants in Sherbrooke and nearby Magog,... More

Being retired, we travel extensively and prefer B&B's to hotels. The Marquis isn't plush but it is a very nice B&B, probably the nicest one in Sherbrooke. We felt lucky to find it on the internet. Our king suite was spacious, sparkling clean and comfortable with a private bath. The breakfast was included and it was outstanding. The hosts were... More
