“Great Guesthouse”

Just stayed here for four nights, had friendly staff, nice clean rooms and a great complimentary breakfast. Would go back if I was in Joburg again for sure. 7th street nearby has some cool restaurants/bars but I would recommend having a car rental to get around in Joburg. Only stayed 1 night but very positive. Its in a side street so not much traffic noise and whether Melville is your suburb scene or not once you're inside it feels comfortable, safe and secluded. Not only are we ideally located to the Stadium for concerts & matches, the rooms outside allow you easy late night access too. Very clad you enjoyed the Melville feel too. More

“Perfect stay”

Gorgeous place to stay, very warm, welcoming and comfortable. My room was bright and clean, felt very much at home. Staff were all fantastic, very friendly. Great location, easy to get around. Levy, their suggested taxi driver, is fantastic also. Highly recommended.

“Perfect start to our honeymoon :)”

Lovely little B&B in a friendly suburb of Jo'burg. Good sized, clean rooms and a very pleasant garden with small pool. Tasty varied breakfast cooked by the fabulous Anna, who looks after the place (and the guests) so well-thank you!

“Great place to start your trip in Jo'burg”

We stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to South Africa. It was a very suitable choice. Melville is a very pleasant and relaxed area. The guesthouse is clean and quiet and wonderfully welcoming. Staff excellent and accommodating. We were very pleased.

We are very glad Melville Manor Guest House was a great start to your journey. It can be equally relaxing to for the end to people's trips too. And yes, you are correct with your recommendation; the garden rooms No.6 & 7, are lovely. Thank you for the feedback and review. Happy Travels. More

“Very easygoing place with great staff”

This was a perfect home base for me in Jozi. Great accommodations, ample free bfast and very helpful and friendly staff. Felt safe and cared for in a clean and beautiful location. Cute neighborhood convenient to Wits with good dining as well.

“Peaceful comfort in the heart of Jo'Burg”

The manor is .... lovely. From the moment your hostess (likely Anna) welcomes you, you are in a home away from home complete with pool, gardens, private facilities, laundry available, wifi and all within an embracing environment of comfort. Breakfast is pretty much a la carte (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc) as well as a full suite of continental items.
