It's not easy to find a decent hotel in this area, but this one is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast! The room, while quite small, was very clean and tidy. Free internet in the room was also very useful. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Hotel clean and well presented with excellent food. But please be warned about details when booking. We booked three nights bed, breakfast, and evening meal we thought classed as half broad accommodation, which would total £160 per night. When an email arrived saying we had booked three nights B&B and three evening meals in their restaurant for the same nights... More

We had a large room with a giant bathroom, which was modern and all white, but no bar soap. There were lots of electrical outlets and good lighting. The food at dinner and breakfast was good. Our complaint was that we could hear voices from other rooms through the walls. This is a good choice if you want to visit... More

My husband and I stayed at the end of May 2013 for 4 nights and stayed in the ground floor room by the reception. The room was bright and very well equipped with comfy beds and a nice hospitality tray. Lovely shower and everything really clean. The breakfasts were delicious on all 4 days and served promptly by lovely staff.... More

A really top notch comfortable place to stay in Devon. Very luxurious and spacious bedrooms and comfortable guest lounge. Restaurant looked really good although it is closed on Sunday and Monday, the days we were staying there; but there are two hostelries just down the road. We went to one of them ( The White Hart ) two evenings running,... More

A beautifully appointed small hotel, with excellent food and very friendly staff. Well located for easy access to both south Devon and Dorset. Spotlessly clean room with a great, well fitted en-suite bathroom, and a very comfortable super king sized bed. A delightful, very relaxing hotel which we would highly recommend to anyone.
