We've just had our wedding reception at the amazingly located Normanton park hotel. From the 1st time we went to look at the hotel we were treated unbelievably well, every question was given an answer and the direction from the manager Stuart was reassuring and walm. After seeing the breathtaking views of the lake and nearby church (only 500 meter... More

We attended my brothers wedding on the 30th March, the rooms were nice and clean and the food was lovely. The Restaurant staff are a credit to the hotel. The Maitre'd/Manager was extremely helpfull, nothing too much trouble even for children wanting something different. Breakfast was nice and a good choice and they even kept it open a bit longer... I was best man at my brothers wedding, anything I asked the staff to do was done quickly and to a high standard, their calmness & experience, with their excellent hospitality ensured all our guests enjoyed the wedding. We cannot thank you enough for contributing to a truly memorable wedding weekend. More

Good points: * Location within 100m of Rutland Water * View from restaurant * Evening meal * Free wi-fi * Comfy beds * Clean * Helpful staff * Cheap for what it offers Bad points * Rooms arranged round central courtyard * Could be noisy due to people using courtyard for drinking (not a problem when I was there) *... Reasonable price for ok accommodation. Not ideal to work in and maybe lacking a bit of atmosphere. Better for walkers and those wanting away from it ! More

We stayed at the Normanton Park Hotel in the first week of March and really enjoyed our stay. We paid £100 for a room overlooking the stunning Rutland water. The room was clean and tidy, the resturant overlooked the lake and had a romantic ambiance for myself and my partner, the food was to a good standard and staff were... More

We booked the Normanton with Tesco Clubcard vouchers. It was nice enough - but not amazing. Its location is great - lovely views from the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was nice, drinks very expensive (£3.50 for a pint of lime and soda water!!!). Our main criticism was that our room was incredibly hot. We couldn't work out how... More

A great hotel - found it by chance and really enjoyed my stay. It was very quiet - early March weekday - not a lot happens I guess around Rutland water. Food was good and the room spacious and clean. There is a small outdoor play area for the children and easy access to Rutland water and the famous sunken... More

I have never had to write a bad review before as I have always found something really possitive to say about each establishment - until now! We arrived with our family for Sunday Carvery for my husbands birthday. There were 8 of us there and without doubt this was the worse meal that I have ever encountered at a restaurant.... More

Thank you for your feedback, since increasing my kitchen brigade there is simply no room for serving sub par food and all menus are being changed updated and the sunday lunch carvery is being closely monitered for ensuring its quality for all future bookings. More

I booked for a party of six, we got there on a very rainy sunday lunchtime only to find that there was no disabled parking spaces,( I am recovering from a stroke) to add to my wet miserable hike to reception I found the enterance has steps up to the front doors and no hand rails, so from my position...
