This is our third stay at the Hotel Zorita in the past 2 years and we had the most amazing time. Views of the river from the rooms are breathtaking. The rooms are airy and very comfortable and we have always found them to be very clean. For breakfast you have a huge assortment of meats and cheeses from the... More

I stayed here with my daughter and a friend in April 2012 for two days. On the plus side, the estate is beautiful, our room was perfect and the breakfast was great. On the negative side, the service was atrocious (bordering on nonexistent) and the dinner ho hum and pricey Even though the hacienda was pretty much empty, it was... More

I don't know if this hotel has pulled its socks up recently or not, but our one night stay in this hotel in March 2012 was extremely enjoyable, and we just did not encounter any of the problems referred to by some of last year's reviewers. A well appointed bedroom (lighting was a bit iffy, but acceptable) and bathroom. And... More

I enjoyed the stay at Hacienda Zorita very much!! The breakfast was very complete and with local and quality products! The rooms were very neat and comfortable! I only would change the curtains of the bath tub and I would have enjoyed having a bath with jets or something similar... The staff was friendly and I found the uniforms very... More

We stayed for two nights and our room (9) was a very large double aspect with beautifull views of the old mill (now a health Spa) on the river Tormes. Being an old monastery the rooms/cells were of stone so no problem with noise. Two fantastic nights sleep and a nice touch to have your beds turned down whilst you... More

Very disappointed with this supposedly 5 star hotel. Rooms just OK and not overcleaned! Service was none existent. Had to search for someone if you wanted a drink. Even had to put up the parasols in the garden! Tables there never cleaned...covered in bird droppings. Unfortunately we "dined" there on one of the two nights. We felt we were in... More

We stayed there for two nights, one on the way down to Albufeira in Algarve and one on the way back. We were delighted with almost everything. It is a beautiful building in a stunning location. The staff didnt speak much English but along with our limited Spanish we managed to get by and even have a laugh! Our rooms... More

The estate is gorgeous and the buildings are stunning, but the service was appalling. The receptionist was efficient, but not particularly friendly and the shop assistant was abrupt. However, the restaurant / cafe waiters were far worse. We constantly had to go searching for them to ask for a drink etc. The hotel was very quiet, so there was no... More

You won’t get a feel for the place from the somewhat dark website, we thought it was very undersold and much more than advertised. A former monastery, occasionally frequented by Christopher Columbus, now converted into a boutique winery and hotel. Our experience started well as we were upgraded to a penthouse suite located amongst the rafters with its own private... More

I would agree in parts with the previous reviewer in that the hotel has the potential to be incredible. It is an absolutely stunning and imposing building in a fabulous location over the river and just 9 km drive to Salamanca which is a wonderful city to explore...BUT...several things did let it down. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and I... More
