Stayed for one night - welcomed by the friendly owner who took trouble to settle us in despite being busy with the restaurant. The spacious room appeared newly decorated, and was very nicely furnished, with a clean, fresh shower room. The location is good, overlooking the harbour with good views from the restaurant and close to a selection of pubs.... More

We booked ahead as a busy restaurant. We six hungry blokes arrived having walked from Penzance some 20 minutes away. A pretty establishment opposite the working harbour of Newlyn. Barbara welcomed each if us and put us in a window table so we could see the harbour. A nice wine, Muscatel, was chosen by one of our party to match... More

No pavement outside so loading and unloading is a little tricky. Parking either across the road (pay and display) or harbour car park (payable 24 hrs). Rooms are at the back. No views. Overlooked by other neighbours above. Room dark ang slightly damp. Breakfast was fine although the view across the harbour is obscured by a window bar right in... More

Stephen and Barbara were welcoming, friendly and excellent hosts from the moment we arrived! Our room / annexe was a home from home- it was warm, cosy and easy to relax in. The bathroom was spacious, modern and very clean. Breakfast was a real treat - freshly cooked each morning with lots of choice and a gorgeous view of Newlyn... More

Stayed here for one night whilst doing the South West Coast Path, and were very very pleased with this top-notch little establishment! Great location, and the room was clean, large, characterful and comfortable. Best of all, however, was the utterly delicious breakfast. The choice was outstanding, and the quality fantastic. I had the smoked mackerel omelette, and it was wonderful.... More

We stayed at The Smugglers for just one night and would definitely return. Barbara, the owner was friendly and very welcoming. Our room, Forbes, was spacious and very clean. We had our own private patio which i can imagine would be lovely to catch a bit of sunshine but alas we had rain!! Our breakfast was delicious, the view a... More

Quaint building with views over Mount's bay and Newlyn Harbour. Our room (Forbes ) was perfect, very clean and comfortable, even had an outside patio area (weather did not allow us to use!). Breakfast was excellent, and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. Reception area has a slight musty/ damp smell, (very old building?) but don't be put off... More
