We have used this pub many time over recent years for food and drink. The new owners are making a top effort and the food really is very good, the service is very friendly and prompt. If you try it you will not be disappointed. The food is very good quality home type cooking, with a good choice of quality... More

We live locally to The Star and have frankly avoided it due to bad local reports, however we had heard that it had recently been taken over by Sue Hilton who used to, with her family run the pub in our village and thought we had better give this a try. This is a typical country pub, warm and welcoming,... More

Really great lunch at The Star. Food was great and the welcome was warm. There was a roaring log fire and a very friendly dog (the staff did check that we did not mind the dog). The English cheeseboard was amazing. Well worth a visit!

I went to the Star for a family meal. The pub has been under new management for about a month and they are going a great job! We were greeted by the owner and shown into the bar area where we were served by very friendly staff. The restaraunt and 'snug' area were lovely and very cosy for both couples... More

For pudding i had the most AMAZING chocolate brioche!!! If i could eat this every day i would! Highly recommended to all to pay a visit to this wonderful pub. Fantastic value for... More

We arrived late after a hard days shopping at Bicester Outlet. This wasn't the pub we thought we had booked into, our mistake, but it was fabulous. A very warm welcome from the hosts, a warm fire, comfy rooms and the food was fantastic. Melt in the mouth fish and chips and a hearty home made steak and ale pie.... More

Mandy, Will and Anthony really made an effort in making our weekend at The Star Inn memorable. They were very welcoming, helpful and kind during our stay. The location was perfect for our trip to Silverstone, surrounded by beautiful towns and villages. Our room was spacious (enough for our travel cot and our luggage - we don't travel light!), very...
